  • Can you drink coconut oil while on plavix
wondering if it is a good thing to take coconut oil when on plavix also can you take aloe vera juice when taking plavix?
  • When was this study made? can i sue merck?
I had a cerebral hemmorage and stroke. Was lucky and was at a major casino in Las Vegas. I had surgery through my groin to stop the bleed. I was then left in a coma for 2 months. When I started to wake up I could not move, eat, swallow, I did not know who I was or who my husband of 40 years were. I had to be taught everything over again. I had intense therapy. Physical, speech, cognitive, etc. It was over a year before I caught swallow soft food under supervision. Over a year before I was able to learn how to transfer from my bed to a wheelchair. I lost over 2 years of my life. I am now still recovery but I do have a quality of life that they told me I would never have. I was 2 weeks before my 60 birthday and the only drug I every took was Simvastian. Which was a very common drug I thought was harmless. My story was even published in my local newspaper.

  • Death in doses of plavix (1 response)
My G.P.s have given me a death sentence by keeping me on Plavix for nearly five and a half years. I kept telling them of all my side effects like terrible fatigue, difficulty in walking a few yards, lack of breath, loss of hair and loss of vocabulary. I never associated this with the drug they'd given me after my T.I.A. I thought my under active thyroid might be the cause but was told that was fine. They wanted me to take antidepressants and I insisted I was NOT depressed. Finally they agreed to a scan and it was found that I had developed alveolitis. No ...they couldn't tell me how this had happened. I had no connection with any of the causes of this 'farmers lung' But now I know as I found for myself on the internet. Plavix which I stopped immediately and took small aspirin instead . I have been off the deadly drug Plavix for three months but am no better as the alveolitis has now taken over. Soon I will swallow all the antidepressents I have been given as I feel my life is virtually over .....I can't even use a feather duster without collapsing in a chair. I haven't been back to the surgery since I stopped taking this drug. I can't trust my G.P.s anymore.
  • High cholesterol since on losartan and clonidine
I found studies done ( via online reputable journals of medicine) that cholesterol was found to increase with the use of Losartan. Imagine that! The Dr was amazed since my healthy diet has not been changed for years. No statins for me!
  • Horrible bursitis while on simvastatin & low dose aspirin
Horrible Bursitis in Hips and Shoulders. Resistant to multiple cortisone shots. Cost me multiple Orthopedic appointments and MRI.
  • Terrible excessive sweating from hydrochlorothiazide
I guess I fit the profile of who gets excessive sweating from HCTZ. I am a 65 year old female and suffered from excessive sweating for two years. With just very little exertion, I would pour sweat from the top of my head. It would run into my face and all over my hair. My hair would be ringing wet. I had heavy perspiration in the groin area and down my back also. I had to change clothing 2-3 times a day and wash up or shower that many times also. The doctor tried changing my Cymbalta and put me on Wellbutrin instead. It did absolutely no good. I went off the wellbutrin and back onto the Cymbalta. I did some research and saw that HCTZ could cause excessive sweating. Both my doctor and my pharmacist said that they had never heard of that. I went off the HCTZ, and my sweating stopped almost immediately. My doctor and my pharmacist were very surprised. I'm one of those people who frequently have different reactions to drugs than are typical. If you're having excessive perspiration and are on HCTZ, try going off of it. It just may be the culprit!
  • A life of depression and fatigue (1 response)
    1) Family history of depression, 2) Diagnosed depression 1964-not treated until 1973, 3) Worked in medical field 35 years, 4) Emergency on-call 24/7, 5) Hospital 15 times major depression, 6) Tried nearly all MAOI, TCA, SSRI, SNRI, and ECT. 7) 100% Disability in 1998 for depression. Now at age 70 I have dysthymia, chronic fatigue, COPD, and PTSD. My recommendation to younger people - do not over stress,
do not smoke, avoid horrific or traumatic situations and try to find some enjoyment in life. If you have symptoms like mine seek early treatment put balance in your life. The often heard recommendations - get plenty of sleep, eat properly, learn to relax and avoid bad habits should not be ignored, they are critical to good physical and mental health.

Comments from related studies:

  • From this study (6 months ago):

  • I have a relatively weak erection (estimate 50-60% of maximum erection potential) and tend to have a weak orgasm with only a moderate amount of ejaculate (even after 2-4 weeks of abstinence). I am in excellent cardiovascular health exercising 3-4 days a week on an elliptical, achieving sustained exercise heart rate in 70%-90% of maximum range. My resting heart rate is 50-55 beats per minute, my cholesterol and triglyceride levels are well controlled with exercise and zocor. My blood pressure is well controlled by Hyzaar 100/25. I have never tried medications such as Viagra, Cialis or Levitra for this problem. Perhaps they would help, but I feel the main reasons for my problems are my age (64) and the side effects of the combinations of drugs I take. Also, last year I had my testosterone level checked it was 399 (normal range 400-1200).Perhaps this is also part of my problem?? Thank you for any advice.
