  • About 15 minutes after my son took these. Only 1 pill of each total. He lost control of his body. Could not stand or walk. Was seeing ghosts. By the next day it got alot worse he started having numerous seizures like every 10-15 minutes all day long and developed a split personality. Has very bad memory loss. Has not recovered. Has been in several hospitals and they cant find out what is wrong with him. They diagnosed him with steroid psychosis.. But the the drug test shows he no longer has any of the medicine in his system. Did the doctors mess my baby up forever. Please keep in mind he has never ever acted this way. He would never try to harm me or anyone else. This all started with the so called psychosis.

He took 1 25mg z-pak with it. I forgot to include that. It is like the excorist times 10. He thinks he is a demon. He is only 12 years old. Please if anyone knows whether or not the doctors should have mixed these medicines , please tell me. Many and many of doctors cant find anything wrong with him. He has constant seizures a split personality which says he is a demon and is mad at us for tearing down the old church and building a new one. Says we shouldnt have done that cause we freed him. Has breathing problems. Any info would be greatly appreciated..

My husband had a bad reaction to prednisone...The main thing I rememver after so many years is the symptom of seeing "snakes on the wall" and an inability to sleep. Later on he was diagnosed with manic depression. People who are bipolar or manic depressive (same illness) have strong reactions to cortisone, which is what I believe prednisone is. First, let me say that there is a particular mineral which should be taken with cortison/prednisone. It may be zinc, but your pharmacist or doctor should know this. The medicine may be out of his system, but that particular mineral may have been depleted. My husband's eye doctor knew, but the internist did not. There is a possibility that the prednisone kicked in a manic state. Patty Duke (the actress) had this happen to her. She received a cortisone for a severe sore throat, I think. Anyway, she took a dangerous tail spin and bot into relly crazy behavior. Her psychiatrist doctor was able to diagnose her manic depression by that reaction. She began lithium treatments and the lighium worked very well for her, turned her life around. She has written two books, one is called "My name is Anna" or "Call me Anna". I can't remember the name of the other one. I would suggest you get that book from the library or buy, possibly from Amazon or maybe a local book store. Afterwards you might check Widipedia for the name of that second book. My husband was misdiagnosed and therefore received medicines that made him worse. We had five years of living Hell. Fortunately for Him he was HEALED the night he received Christ. We will never know if lithium might have helped him. I know all about that split personality. I pray that all will go well for you and that this crisis will soon be behind you.
