I'm on suboxone/subutex for opiate withdrawals & 2 stop opiate cravings. I have muscle spasms in my back & have been prescribed a few different relaxants n the past including, baclofen, flexeril, zanaflex, & soma. I have found baclofen 2 help my muscles not feel as tense when I'm on it. Zanaflex seems 2 make me 2 sleepy even taking just half a pill at a time.. Flexiril doesn't help me at all. I also have carpal tunnel n want 2 ask my sub Dr. If he can put me back on meloxicam cuz it has just started flaring up again lately n that's what I was taking n the past 4 it by my old dr who also was prescribing me the baclofen. I read on drugs.com drug interaction check and found meloxicam n subs have no findings of any interaction problems but baclofen and subs says it's a critical mixture 2 take 2gether.. Does anyone know if baclofen & other relaxants really aren't safe to take together? I see my sub Dr. On Jan 13th, (He is my only Dr. atm) and he is licensed 4 prescribing subs but he also is a MD Dr. for nerves, joints, bones, & muscles. Also does anyone know if gabapentin (Neurotin) can be prescribed for carpal tunnel instead of just an anti Inflammatory like meloxicam? Any help & information would be very helpful n I'd truly appreciate it please! Thank you :)
I take zanaflex and remron at bedtime. after falling asleep I am awaken to severe ligament, tendon and muscle spasms. all my doctors are confused what is going on with me. I am trying to figure this out myself. I was wondering if I have serotonin syndrome going on. I have had this in the past but don't remember this severe. I stop the zanaflex but srarted robaxin up so I am not sure if that was any better then zanaflex. please help!
My son, 54, committed suicide while on Baclofen. No one saw this coming and it was very unlike his usual personality. Several days prior to his suicide he told me that he was hearing his neighbors talking about him through the walls of his duplex. That proved to be impossible so these were auditory hallucinations. His note suggested deep depression, fear, dread, paranoia and much self-criticism. He was intelligent enough to have sought help but did not. He had excellent health and mental health insurance. Did Baclofen cause his symptons?

I began having muscles spasms all over my body within a short time of starting the medication, Multaq. Prior to that I very rarely ever had a muscle spasm and, then, only in a calf. The spasms now happen day or night--in my thighs, my calves, my feet, my abdomen, my back. It makes bedtime pure hell because even as I try to get comfortable in bed my midsection or my legs begin to spasm. I am 69, have atrial fibrillation, take Coumadin, and hypothyroidism (supposedly under control with Synthroid). I drink plenty of water, I take magnesium supplements and a multi-vitamin. I have tried apple cider vinegar. I take 1 teaspoon of regular yellow table mustard when I have a cramp and this stops them immediately but it does not work pre-emptively. I don't know what to do and neither do my doctors. This is misery. The multaq is working well on my a-fib but I am wondering if it is the source of the muscle spasms as I did not have this prior to multaq.
