  • All these symptoms happened after I stopped the Suboxone. was still taking clonidine and clonazepam to help. occasionally I will get a cluster of clonic tonic movements with loss of memory and consciousness.

im the 34yr old female in this study. Last year I was given these meds to stop a narcotic wean I was already almost done with. So wasnt even needed. I was given the Narcan shot and NOTHING happened to me. They said I was 1 in a million to not have any symptoms. (cause I had no drugs in me...duh) So I took the subs and the Klonopin together for 3 wks but had been on the klonopin for over 6mths already. I started having problems at the end of the wean and lots of head pain. I had a huge convulsion and passed out. For 3 hrs couldnt move my body or tell anyone I could hear. I was paralyzed. When I started to recover my head hurt so bad. Went to ER but all was fine, they said. 2 days later I ended up with severe tummy cramps and black stools that turned bright red and foul smelling and passed out in the ER. Lost 10units of blood and almost died that day. Since recovering ive been on dilaudid and withdrawn from that by myself. But I get these cluster seizure like activity that last 2-3 hrs when Im given certain meds or any artificial sweetners. Currently Im stopping low dose norco from a recent surgery and still suffer from the syncope/convulsion type issue. I would never suggest anyone mix these drugs. Very dangerous. (Dr. had to do a proceedure on me and to try and sedate me he used 18 fentanyl and 20 vials of verced....I was still wide awake and feeling everything. When he realized how much the nurse pushed and that just 30 min earlier I had 8 fentanyl and 5 verced he said no more or I would be in the morge.) When I saw him later he looked at me and said all that medicine would have killed 99% of the world if he gave them that much. So it can be deadly if you need a surgery or a procedure as anesthesia doesnt work the same. Narcan gets stuck in your brain and takes forever to go away. This is just my cautionary tale. Hope this never happens to another person.

Anyone taking suboxone regularly should know that it is very dangerous to mix with benzodiazepines, these are normally Valium, Xanax, Ativan, klonopin. I've done a ton of research on the topic because I take suboxone. Please use caution when mixing these types of meds. To the person who said they had a convulsion, my research tells me that is directly tied to the mix of meds you are taking. I suggest you don't continue that mix because it may kill you!
