It was a month ago that my doctor put me on Neurontin to deal with my nerve ending pain caused by multiple surgeries to my eye. Perhaps unrelated, I have an AI disease that is attacking my eyes (uveitis) and have had rather invasive surgeries to deal with its onslaught. I was told my last surgery has caused such trauma to my eye that my nerve endings are mangled and confused...causing a myalsia. The Neurontin has eased the pain in my eye dramatically for which I am very pleased. I do notice some jittery moments but other than that, I don't have severe reactions to the drug. Since being informed of my AI disease, I have changed my life dramatically and went on the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol diet in hope that I can cure my gut and save my other eye. This diet has some recipes that use Turmeric. What I find is my tongue burns as if it has been scalded. I have multiple 'angry' tastebuds that are white and stick out on the tip of my tongue. I have had this condition for almost 4 weeks and can't seem to get it to go away. During week 3, I abstained from all Turmeric...only because my tongue burns like crazy when I eat it. I did not notice any difference. Is it possible that the Neurontin is causing this tongue pain? I have been told Neurontin is usually used to ease discomfort from Burning Tongue. Has anyone else had this same experience and could you please tell me what to do to make it go away?
A bad fall in 2006. Required pain management MRIS, numerous tests and a cervical and lumbar surgery in 2007 to correct. Two Rear end car accidents while I was at a stop light. One in 2011 and one in 2015. I already had spinal stenosis and degenerative disc desease genetically passed on. Problems with stomach aches and anxiety since 5 years of age. Post menopausal depression after pregnancy. In 2001 had to have upper gi surgery on saphagus due to acid coming up throat (gerd) after every drink or meal. They cut 5 cuts and did the surgery laproscopy, with less down time...I have a difficult time burping or throwing up and foul smelling flatulence daily at 52. I had another cervical fusion this year 2016. I was diagnosed with diabetes from an anti anxiety and depressant seroquel that heightens my blood sugar from the 90s to 362 or over 500 at times if I don't take met forming two times a day, Januvia once a day, Victoria 1.8 injection b4 breakfast and lantus split up twice per day. Despite altering diet a lot, walking twice a day and swimming 4 times per week, and at 30 mcgs a day of lantus I'd bloat up like a pregnant woman and my feet stung like wasps every afternoon since the auto accident. When my sugars level out after surgeries or steroid shots in back or neck and shoulder for pain control, I will have to use more lantus which triggers a flare up of severe ibs string to go and at time diverticulitis. I already take fiber and prebiotic vitamins. I began getting ibs with diarehha in 2008 or 2009 after lumbar surgery. I fought with it for years to no avail. Anyone out there with a suggestion or similar problem.? How did you control the ibs with constipation on pain management and the lantus for diabetes?

I was talking cinnamon and neuronin. I ended up having no neuronin in my system. I was in serious pain. I stopped taking the cinnamon and I have been feeling better. I had to start at the lowest dose. I was taking 800mg 3x a day. I am now taking 300mg 3x day. It's helping but it doesn't get rid of the pain completely. While I wait for the neuronin to get to a theraputic level, I'm in misery.
I started taking Neurotin a month or so ago and now I have Eustachian Tube problems. My left ear pops some but it doesn't clear the clogged muffled feeling, like under water. In the past I took the time relief a few years and discontinued it once it wasn't needed anymore. Should I change back to the time relief or will it make any difference. Of course my doctor didn't know the cause and told me the ear is fine.
They put me on Adderall XR 25mg for my ADHD. I'm also on lithium carbonate er and neurontin. I was on the adderall for one week and now I'm still having symptoms of psychosis. I'm hallucinating and having a hard time distinguishing what is real and what isn't. I still have extreme paranoia as well. I've been off of it for about a month. When I was on it I didn't talk to anybody cause I was delusional and believed EVERYONE had hidden intentions to destroy me (even those closest to me). I still have some of that. I just want all the psychosis to stop. It's stressing me out. Anyone having any suggestions to help? I hallucinate shadows and people and hearing my name. I see people looking at me and I feel like they're judging me and planning something.
Looking for information that could help my wife with legal issues. My wife had a manic episode 44 days after taking Gabapentin. She had also been taking Lithium. I am interested in any case studies or published information that could support our theory it was caused by the Gabapentin.
