  • Celebrex causing dry eye
I have been taking Celebrex for years For pain. I believe it causes my dry eye. Was treated for corneal ulceration a few years ago, but never found out cause and have been using Systane drops for dry eyes ever since, with relief. Last month, I was off work for a 3 weeks, so I skipped the celebrex th ...
  • Not a great experience
I was on norvasc for two months and had to go off because of severe swelling of feet and legs. Also rapid heart beat and very profuse sweating. it was horrible. It also raised my blood pressure. after going off BP dropped by @least 10 points both diastolic and systolic.
  • Celebrex is absolutely terrible (1 response)
I got a three-day trial pack from my doctor on July 12. On July 13, I got my period, which lasted eight days and was extremely heavy and painful (and I usually have to switch out super-plus tampons and an overnight pad every 6-7 hours, so heavier than that is impressive). No pain relief for my hips/ ...
  • Who cares about the patient? (1 response)
I can't believe I'm still alive but quality of life is greatly diminished and no one cares. Not one doctor cares about how this one dr. prescribed all these drugs over a period of 5 years and I lost everything. I flat-lined sept 18, 2005 and was told by dr there in er that I would live 1-5 years an ...
  • Celebrex and taste loss
Following foot surgery, I have taken Celebrex for most of the last 4 months. I can no longer taste or smell. I just started a Z pack for a sinus problem and am hoping that will clear any infection that could be contributing to this loss. I have also stopped taking Celebrex in the meantime.

  • I can never be sure if drug outcomes are because the drug is interacting with other drugs I'm taking or if the outcome is really the fault of the drug.

When I started taking Celebrex, it only took two or three days before I began to experience extreme muscle contractions of my thigh and lower back muscles, so much so that I fell and was unable to stand to walk. We live in a rancher, so I scooted on my butt to my bedroom, where I used my bed to get up, sit on and scoot around to my side. My arms, mostly the upper arms, were very difficult to control. The side effect of muscle spasms and contractions are listed as possible side effects from taking celebrex, but waaaaaay down in the rare occurrences column. What happened to me did not feel rare, believe me. It took 2-3 days before I felt I was completely free of the side effect, but after a couple of days, I was all right.

  • i had knee replacement surgery one month ago and was doing fine but now I am suffering from daily depression and crying spells. I am wondering if the celebrex is interfering with my wellbutrin which I have been taking for several years. I then wonder if it is normal to have post op depression in that I have not worked in 4 weeks and am not able to drive for another 2 weeks. I currently have physical therapy 3 times a week and am doing well. I stopped taking the celebrex this morning.
when the depression sets in I also have no appetite at all.
