My mother is on lasix 40mg 3 times a week. She has vaginal burning only during the times she takes her lasix. Asked her doctors but they don't have any recommendations. Can anyone help me with a cream or something to help her. I've used balmex & desitin with zinc and it makes it worse.

    Dears,
My mother had a lumber lacminectomy surgery decompression in hospital on 2012-2-24 and developed buttock clip pressure sore after disacahged from Hong Kong St. Teresa Hospital on 2012-3-3. She was admitted in another Hospital Authorty's Kwong Wah Hospital on 2012-3-27 with antibiotic treatment and wound cleansing daily. She was discharged on 2012-4-14 with nursing care at home by wound cleansing bi-daily.
However her wound doesn't heal and subcutaneous tissue still be seen at present even though she has no infection.
I am anxious for her old age of 71 and diabete. I takes a long time not seeing her healing. Please give special medical advice for better prognosis. She is using frame for mobility and in urinary catherisation now.
    Thanks to all,

  • My husband age 91 was on hemodialysis when a nurse prescribed l0mg of remeron or mirtazaoine daily. According to the FDA literature this interfered with his dialysis clearance. He passed away after one month on mirtazapine.

  • Diamox caused a fairly severe allergic reaction, worse occipital headache to the point that I was not able to function, and tingling in my hands and feet to the point that it was extremely painful.
Topamax causes me memory issues, word finding problems, and a constant metallic taste in my mouth.
Lasix caused a heart arrhythmia even though I was taking a potassium supplement. It has not gone away and has caused lasting pain and problems.

  • One small puss filled spot appeared on my foot 10 days after taking Furosemide. Doctor said it was nothing. One spot appeared every week until after 4 months I have several on soles of feet and a couple on palms of hands. Showed spots to 3 different doctors until eventually diagnosed (only yesterday!) that I had pustular psoriasis. Given steroid cream to use and await outcome.
