  • Started 50 mg/day of prednisone 3 days ago. Will decrease to 3 days of 40, 3 of 30, 3 of 20, 3 of 10, and 10 every other day for the next 8 days.

Today is day 3 of 50 mg. I am 60 yrs old, have been in menopause for 10 years. I have vaginal spotting this evening. I had a normal pap smear and abdominal/uteral exam in Sept. 2014.

Could the spotting be caused by the high dose of prednisone.

  • Still taking both these drugs up until today. I feel they temporary take symtoms away, (prednisone) and the rash comes right back immediately & more severe. I was prescribed these meds & i think they create the rashes not cure. I have had many repeat episodes and I am under attack currently. I am not being helped.

  • Symptoms started 4 days after starting the antibiotic. My doctor treated the side effects with and anti cramping medication which helped but I had to go off if the antibiotics to get better. I've never had a gallbladder attack before taking the meds.

  • The first abscess was right over the bladder and was causing burning and pain while urinating; the abscess was drained manually by a radiologist but continued to drain for several weeks into an attached bag. Then a resection surgery was done of 6 inches of lower bowel to remove diseased portion; then another abscess developed in a different abdominal location and now we are waiting to see if the abscess is going to subside

  • My chest begin after walking or cycling at a heart rate of 90-95 bpm for 5 minutes
and increase in intensity for 10 minutes and a heart rate 100-105. The chest pains
subside gradually and disappear after 5 more minutes of continued walking or cycling.

I had the same condition before taking Folic acid and Methotrexate.

  • Been on Asmanex since 12/19/14 - developed the flu on 12/23. Most of the other meds were added between 12/26 and 12/29. On 12/30 my pulmonologist upped the Asmanex to two puffs/day. That was about a week ago. Yesterday (1/6), my voice began to get hoarse. Today it's even more difficult to get sounds out, feels like I have to force myself to speak loud enough for people to hear me. If this is from the Asmanex, will it go away if I stop the med?

  • Currently tapering off from 30mg/day of prednisone for 30 days after unsuccessful results during prior tapering off from a lower dose of prednisone. CRP lab was 90. Currently normal after 30 day treatment. Will start with colchicine once prednisone dose is at 15mg/day and continue to taper and see if symptons return.

It has been almost seven weeks since I stopped taking prednisone. Bad bad side effects: high BP, palpitations, depressions, rapid heart rate, fatigue, blood sugar crashes. Worst is my skin- itchy, sore, hypersensitive. Nothing helps. Anyone tell me how long this czn last? I'm going crazy!
