Was on metronidazole for c diff which didn't work to get rid of it. Wondering now if this oral vancomycin medication will do the job that the other couldn't do. So far this new medication has given me a very bad stiff neck. Has anyone taken this and it cured your c diff.

This is my first and hopefuuly last time with cdiff. I take flagyl, it seems to be helping, then I had a relapse after taking it for 7 days. Might be due to my diet. as long as I have diarrhea, am I contagious.
I had serious c-dif for 4 1/2 months. Finally after 56 days of Vancomycin (4 daily) and a fecal transplant I got it under control. They say I don't have it but for the pas 2 1/2 months I have had episodes of uncontrollable diarrhea that comes on so quick, if I'm not close to a toilet it just goes swish. NO CONTROL . It is usually preceded by a faint feeling, serious cramping and boom. After I feel drained of all my energy. Anybody out there have a solution except wearing depends the rest of my life???? At one point I think I even passed some organisms that looked like finger sized clear jellyfish with tenticles - lots of them with lots of water. The diarrhea is always followed by a lot of watery fluid that leaves me weak. HELP
I was taking stribild for 3 months following a drug needle stuck at work. I quit taking it in the mid second month because I had lost 40 pounds and had constant loose stools. Now 1 month off of stribild, I am still having cdiff symptoms
