I just found out I have a macular hole. I am unsure how long it has been there. At the most it's a year or less based on my last eye exam. . When referred to a specialist he read a list of side effects from surgery and it was almost scary in that he said my sight could get worse. I felt very overwhelmed and he told me to come back in a month or call if I changed my mind about the surgery. My eye doctor was very persuasive in that I needed the surgery. Maybe the surgeon just didn't want to be responsible if anything went wron or I was just upset because of the time he spent with me. I am thinking I need a second opinion Any suggestions for or against the surgery. I am 68 and planning on some pretty active years ahead.
My name is Brenda I took Crestor for 10 days and my vision began to blur I ended up heading to a retinologist and he told me I had holes in the macula of both eyes and the one on the right I was the largest ever seen and now I am legally blind and have absolutely no vision in my left eye because of all the surgeries I've had I am looking for other people who have had similar types of problems and any attorneys who may have taken your cases against Crestor thank you
I've had RA, PsA, and AS for over 20 years. I've been on MTX for the entire time and 5 years ago added Humira. Ironically, when the Humira was added, my vision [nearsighted] greatly improved until I had almost 20/20 vision in both eyes. However, a retina specialist did notice, 10 years ago, prior to Humira, that I had macular puckering in both eyes. Things were stable for years. However, in February of 2016 the vision in my right eye became really bad and I was diagnosed with a macular hole. I'm seeing a second retina specialist tomorrow and expect to have a vitrectomy. I have lots of questions, as you can imagine, in spite of all the research I've done.
I am 60 yrs. old and was diagnosed with macular hole in the left eye. I've been taking methotrexate, coupled with Enbrel, injections for a total of six yrs. I became curious about the possible connection between rheumatoid arthritis and macular hole. This is what led me to this particular site.
