I am a doctor and suffering from hyperacidity since years and nowadays tachycardia is developing along with it. Breathlessness sometimes makes my sleep disturbed. I have regurgitation GERD. Everynight at 3 to 4 Am I have to wake up to take antacid, and sometimes I found tachycardia along with it. Pulse rate reaches almost 120 to 135/min. It is such a horrible thing, because I am a doctor and known to certain symptoms but the reason for developing tachycardia is still unknown to me.
I came across this page, but no one has posted anything. I'm assuming other people have had this experience or there wouldn't be a page for it. I had a couple of incidents of rooibos causing tachycardia. I figured out the connection after the about the third time, so I have avoided it ever since.
