  • Are there any reports of extreme dry mouth?
Since having an aortic valve replacement via TAVR (newer technique)I have had various medications added to my schedule. For the last several months I seem to have a very dry mouth problem. I have given you a few that I am taking at the present time that I thought might have some effect on my dryness condition now.
  • Has anyone developed myastenia gravis after botox for migraines
I have many auto immune problems and severe migraines. the doctors have tried everything that my medications and allergies will allow. then we tried botox. by the second set of injections i was having trouble holding my head up and swallowing. he avoided the paraspinal area after that but continued with injections. the botox greatly improved my headaches but drastically changed other areas. i can no longer dive due to double vision, i can hold my head up and still for only short window, my eyelids roop and one eye will stray off and come back in line. i have a difficult time eating really solid food. i of course stopped botox and got another neurologist. she said i have myasthenia gravis triggered by botox.
  • Are there any benefits of taking t-4 and t-3 meds with megestrol acetate?
One full year of Interferon treatment for Hep-C 2005-2006, onset of Graves Disease during treatment, R-131 thyroid ablation. post-chemo-musculo-skeletal-myalgia ongoing since 2005. Anemia during treatment addressed with Epogen shots weekly. After successful treatment for Hep-C on set of numerous medical conditions. Daily nausea, daily vomitting, no appetite, unable to forcefeed myself un late evening. Consume 500 calories or less per day and contiue to gain weight. Metabolism seems at standstill, fatigue, brain fog, no energy. Lower Lumber injury from over 20 years ago flaired. Was receiving spinal epidurals until deemed no longer effective treatment 7 months ago since they only lasted 10-14 days, leaving me in severe chronic pain. Quality of life is very poor. Doc just prescribed Magestrol Acetate to hopefully help me regain appetite to begin eating small meals throughout the day to help jumpstart my metabolism so I may get some energy back and loose the 25 extra lbs all gained in my mid section. Have never had weight issues in my life. I want my quality of life to return to similiar level I enjoyed all my life. Some days I can't even crawl out bed. Sit-up or even stand or walk. I'm on SSI with Medicaid so my treatment options are very limited.Any knowledge of thyroid meds taken with Magestrol Acetate. Any help appreciate grately!

  • During my 13 yrs on Zoloft /Sertraline I have started having odd symptoms, see the above. I accidentally got rid of the reflux when I quit Sertraline for a short time. I also cut the dosage from 150 Mg to 50 when I had to start taking S again - my anxiety kicked in again. Reflux medicins did not help. So, for appr 9 years my dosage was 150 Mg, now it is 50 Mg. The doctors I have been seeing are useless and know nothing, they merely renew the prescription.
The new symptoms have crept on over the past year or two. First the itching, then tongue biting and dry mouth, later the rigid tongue which becomes more so come evening,
I am convinced that the reason is the drug Sertraline and have decided to quit for good, with the help of starting on a rigorous excercise program, wish me luck!
