Can you answer these questions (Ask a question):

  • Is cardioversion safe for someone who has cervical stenosis
I have cervical stenosis. C3 thru C6 are unstable and under doctors care. Is cardio version procedure to correct atrial fibulation safe for me to do have done?
  • Could alcohol cause spinal stenosis
I have severe cervical stenosis at C 5-6-7. I had a foramenotomy almost two years ago but now find the radiating pain down the arm coming back.
Could alcohol use be related to the stenosis?
  • Will sulindac cause me to gain weight? (1 answer)
I am 45 overweight still. I have lost 50 pounds prior to starting sulindac and now I'm just losing one pound a month. Exercise (zumba, elipitical , walk, light weights, and swim) which I do 2 of those workouts daily and eat fairly good. Is any of these medications interfering with my weight loss?
  • How much will oxycodone hcl shorten my life
I suffered from pain for 3 months coming from my upper back, I asked my PCP about it and he prescribed oxycodone hcl, 5mg,Long story short I was diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis, tried a cortisone shot, all that did was give me another pain in a different are of my back for 3 days, my PCP has me a little scared of surgery due to where my problem is so I opted for pain medication for now of course the longer I took it the higher my tolerance got so he prescribed me more and more etc. etc., I'm presently up to taking 2 three times a day along with gabapentin 600 mg twice a day once in the morning and in the evening, but I find that when i wake up in the morning I have withdrawal symptoms such as lower back and leg pain that is excruciating to the point I can barely walk and I find myself taking 3 oxycodone 5mg in order to be able to move regularly and the crazy thing is, is that I don't have that much of a euphoric feeling, I can function normally and do work efficiently, but my last Dr. visit he expressed concern about how much I take, he's been prescribing me this medication for approx. 10 months now and just recently tells my that it shortens life expectancy?!?! I think that should have been something to tell me after the first month, I had no idea that it had life shortening side effects, now I'm totally hooked on them, I've tried cutting back and cold turkey and it is PURE HELL!!! I hate this, he never told me this would happen, I don't know what to do, I'm totally embarrassed with the notion of being a drug addict, is there any naturopathic supplements that can help with withdrawal symptoms, i'm too embarrassed to tel anyone and drug treatment is out of the question because of my family name in our community it would also be an embarrassment to them also.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks: Dave
  • How common is general nausea with mctd?
I know that it is a side effect with multiple of these medications however it is a sudden onset with my flares rather than an upset stomach when I take my medication

I'm 56 years old and used Capzasin Hp Capsaicin 0.1% for the 1st time. Within seconds it was itching and burning my skin leaving red patches. It was constant and then I decided to wash it off with a cold wash cloth, which helped a bit but not enough . My skin is still burning and very irritated. I wouldn't recommend this product because of the side effects to anyone. 9/9/13
