  • I recently had a thyroidectomy and followed it by radiation. i had molar extracted 5 days ago and could not form a clot to avoid dry socket. today my dentist packed it but it is dissolving!
I wonder if the saliva in my mouth is more acidic which can cause the loss of the clot or the packing that the dentist put in my mouth. I was told after the thyroid cancer and radiation that the glands that feel "sour" sensation after the surgery can increase and in rare cases, the patient never stops producing that saliva. I have a lot of it 5 months later. Is it possible that is why the filler he put in my dry socket is almost immediately dissolving?
  • Timing of taking wellbutrin xl 300 with diovan 80
I take levoxyl when waking up. After eating breakfast usually I take wellbutrin, diovan, and vitamin d together. If taking adderall, I would take at this time. Sometimes red yeast rice in morning, sometimes later in the day. Estradiol is taken before bed. Is it OK to take wellbutrin and diovan together or should they be spaced separately in the day?

  • The dangers off fluoridation
I live in an area where the water has been fluoridated for approximately 55 years and have been treated for an underactive thyroid since 1978. I have also suffered from urge incontinence since 1967 and for 4 years have also had the symptoms of skeletal fluorosis although I have not been able to get the tests to confirm this. About 2 years ago I read about the dangers of fluoride and stopped using the tap water for drinking and cooking but still had to use it for bathing and still swam in the local pool. Also I have always drunk about 3 pints of tea a day. Recently it was found that there might be a problem with my kidneys so I stopped drinking tea and swimming. I had been going to the toilet 16/17 times a day but after about 5 weeks this was down to 7/8 times and the urgency was gone. Also I was given a follow up kidney function test after 6 weeks and that was normal. A few weeks later I was shopping in an area where the water is not fluoridated and risked having tea in a cafe there and the irritable bladder symptoms came back almost immediately and lasted for several weeks.
  • Syntroid and pruritus
I have been on levothyroxine for more than ten years and have had two episodes, each lasting over several months of unbearable itching. Doctors seem to deny any connection but are also unable identify the cause of the itching. None of the tests pick anything. Antihistamines are not much of a help. I am still in the throes of the second episode and life is plain, simple miserable.
  • Thrush while on prograf
I am a health provider at an emergency room and had a patient come in because of a food bolus and when i examined his oral/pharynx I noticed he had thrush. Patient stated it has been their for a while. Patient also stated he has been having progressive difficulty in swallowing. Pt is a kidney transplant patient and has been worked up for other causes of his thrush (including HIV, as per patient results neg) and everything came back negative. I can only conclude that maybe the prograf which is a immunosupressent can possible be the cause
  • Cardio version caused fingernail abnormalities
Right hip fracture. When prepping for surgery AFIB was found. Surgery was cancelled and they attempted to get AFIB under control. Finally, cardioversion was performed. When my nails started to grow out they all had two horizontal lines that cause the nail to break when it grows out to that point.
  • Synthroid and breast enlargement
I have went from a B-C cup size to a D cup in the past 8-9 months.

  • The most severe have been persistent for several months now and are only getting worse. The severe are becoming more and more persistent and also only getting worse. I've tried to pinpoint anything in my diet or other things that could potentially cause some kind of allergic reaction, but I haven't discovered anything that could do all of this. I'm so upset about it. Its having a huge impact on my life. I'm an active girl and this has continued to cause me a lot of grief. I don't know what's wrong with me. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me!
