Due to a recent onset of panic attacks I've been given these daily meds. I'm concerned about the long term affects & especially the symptoms that will occur when I try to get off of them.(especially the dalmane) can you please give me info on the best way to stop these meds when I feel it is necessary? Thanks!!
  • Is it safe to take pravastin while on remicade?
I have just started on Remicade and this drug scares the heck out of me! However it is being used as a last resort as no other medications were bring my ulcerative colitis under control I am very concerned about drug interactions and can't seem to get any straight answers from my doctor or the pharmacist. My main concern right now is can I safely take Pravastian due to being on Remicade? My cholesterol is very high.
  • Can i take 2 aleve if i have a headache when i'm on tarceva
At night I have a slight headache and want to know if it is ok to take 2 aleve. Doesn't happen every night. Just been on tarceva for 12 days.
  • My daughter has myasthenia gravis and has contaced mrsa. is there more she can do beside taking an anticiotice prescribed?
A few days ago she noticed a blister on her foot above the big toe. A day later it began to hurt and redness appeared. She went to the clinic and was diagnosed with MRSA and given sulfamethoxazole-pmp ds tablet. Her MG has weaked her immune system already and I am fearful we need to get more advice considering her MG. Please advise on what direction to take. I am very concerned. Please advise on what we can do from here. Thank you. Mother of Kathy Juckett.
  • Can herceptin cause the onset of osteoarthritis?
I have Breast cancer Her2+. I had a double mastectomy and I am currently busy with my cancer treatment. I am receiving treatment for one and a half year. I first got that red chemo, then I received 18 sessions of paclitaxal( some day together with Herceptin) and now I am continuing with the Herceptin only till the end of the year. I have never in my life suffered from any bone or joint pains but from a few months ago I started to develope very severe muscle and joint pains to the extend that I cannot get out of bed in the morning unless I have taken some pain medication and waited for a while. The pain medication also doesn't really seems to be making a huge difference. I have been taking Iboprufin, Arcoxia,Celebrex and Stilpayne ( these are all South African names for certain medicines that might be known to you under other names) I use to be very active but I feel like an old person now. I am never without pain and it makes me very depressed.Everybody said that the red chemo was going to be the worst, but it is nothing compared to the constant pain I have to deal with now. I have also started taking natural supplements for osteoarthritis, but that doasn't seem to be making a difference either ( I have been taking ArthAway chronic and MSM. My doctor seems to not know what I am talking about when I tell her about my symptoms and she makes me feel as if I am imagining these symptoms!!! I am really so depressed. Is this from the herceprin or am I going crazy? Is their anything you know of that I can still try? Oh I am also taking

  • The zoloft/vyvanse concoction ruined my life.
I started taking these drugs about two months ago. I am diagnosed ADHD by a psychiatrist. I received these medications from a doctor whom I know and is married to a friend my wife. She, the doctor, gave them to me from her personal medications in a plastic baggy. I was given loose instructions for taking these on a piece of paper. I was never given the paperwork with warning signs. 10 days after starting these medications, I attacked my wife and am now separated. I am barred from seeing her and my daughter by means of a Victims Protective Order. I am a normally nonviolent person. Most who know me call me a peacemaker...a pacifist. I am still horrified by the events of that night. 15 seconds changed my life forever. I hope and pray my story helps others. Don't be naïve, as I was, when given medications. Ask questions.
  • Loss of menstruation
    Hi
I stopped using setralin 50 µg in August 2014. (I have been taken it in 1 year for my PMS). After stopping taking the pills my period become very short in september and then desappeard. I got a funcional cyste (about 30 mm) and after 10-days treatment with progesterone I got my period in the end of oktober. Two weeks afterwards I got a spare bleeding and my gyn thought that it my be an ovulation bleeding. Anyhow I have not got my period yet. The samples taken in oktober showed low FSH and heigt E2. The doctor explained that it is posible that stopping setralin could cause this hormonal imbalance. I must say that my periods were not so regular for very long time like during that year with setralin but I had other side effects like problem with concentartion, nussea etc.
For many years ago I was on Zoloft but I had not experienced the same problem. When I started the treatment this time they did not want to give me zoloft (because of the price). I had no choice but i experienced many symptoms from different generica of Setralin. I will meet my doctor om Monday again.

  • Laryngitis and fluconazole
Occasionally when I have a severe yeast infection, I get laryngitis. I am so thankful your article addresses this, as the doctors I have seen were less than receptive when I suggested a link. I do not have any of the other health concerns listed in the study, but am taking fluconazole.

  • During my 13 yrs on Zoloft /Sertraline I have started having odd symptoms, see the above. I accidentally got rid of the reflux when I quit Sertraline for a short time. I also cut the dosage from 150 Mg to 50 when I had to start taking S again - my anxiety kicked in again. Reflux medicins did not help. So, for appr 9 years my dosage was 150 Mg, now it is 50 Mg. The doctors I have been seeing are useless and know nothing, they merely renew the prescription.
The new symptoms have crept on over the past year or two. First the itching, then tongue biting and dry mouth, later the rigid tongue which becomes more so come evening,
I am convinced that the reason is the drug Sertraline and have decided to quit for good, with the help of starting on a rigorous excercise program, wish me luck!
