Can you answer these questions (Ask a question):

  • Why is restoril showing poaitive in my urin when i never took this drug (1 answer)
I have been ill for 15 years, taking Methadone all the while along with Soma and Hydrocodone for break thru pain. I now include Lyrica daily.I have had 2 back surgeries, one detailing rod and cage around L4 L5 in 2007. Most recent Nov 2013 at the Laser Spine Institute for spine decompression in that same area. Diagnosed w/ Arachnoiditis 15 yrs ago when working full time and since Methadone seems to be my only safe bet to take so that I can function. 4 years on Hizentra IVG home treatment every week. Lorazapam was prescribed for panic. Tried Diazapam more than 8-9 months ago, however that drug seems to back up in my system therefore I get no immediate relief but sort of a knock out sleep 8 hours later so we went back to Lorazapam. I am now unfortunately disabled, mostly homebound and 60 yrs old. Since this past August my urin specimen has come back positive for Restoril. This past month Restoril is still positive and described as habitual use. I am staring down a discharge from my physician who I care for, respect and admire, I never ever thought this would happen. We just took another test I offered to get another different Lab test she told me to wait so I am but its killing me. I never took a sleeping other than Unisom OTC in my Entire life. Never been prescribed Restoril, no offense but would never take it on top of what I already take and Lord knows how I would react to this drug. If I am awake all night that's just the way it is and I live with it. Why is this foreign drug showing up in my system? Please help. Thank you kindly, Louise
  • has diltiazem caused anxiety in anyone else?
I have had the implant for 7 years. Recently the doc was concerned about more frequent palpations and my blood pressure was up. So first I was put on a couple blood pressure pills, but just a couple weeks. Then they took me off of those and put me on the Diltiazem. When anxiety skyrocketed and I ended up in the hospital, they put me on the Lorazepam. It worked pretty well for a day or two. But the anxiety is creeping back up. I took a cup of CalMag this morning and it helped bring it down to reasonable. Is it possible that the medication is what is causing the serious anxiety? I have never been anxious like this. And it fill me with adrenaline and then I just feel worse.
  • Is lorazepam 0.5 good for treating vertigo

  • I amwondering if i have myathesia gravis (1 answer)
I am thinking that after a long bout of going nowhere with Drs. That I might have Myathesia Gravis. My Grandmother had it and I am thinking that my brother had it when he was born.He failed to thrive at first as he was unable to suck very well. He did make it though with a forced feeding of milk and bananas. He was sickly all his life though and recently died of cancer. I noticed that my eye is drooping on the left side. I have periods of extream fatigue, my left arm is tingly and I can't seem to feed myself without changing to my right hand. I have spinal stenosis and severe pain in my hip area but my right big toe seems to be tingly from time to time. I also have a swallow problem that causes me to choke or throw up the food or drink. Pills stay part way down a lot. My G.I. guy wants to strech my esophegus. I tend to eat soft foods and stay away from steak or anything chewy. I have congestive heart failure, sudden cardiac death, syncope all of which I greatfully managed to survive. I have fibromyalgia, and some nodules on my chest wall ( i forget what that is called) I have had 5 or 6 bouts with Costochrondritus which was way worse than actually having my heart stop. Costo hurts like a beech! I am frequently short of breath, exercize intolerant and have trouble holding my water.I have good dsys and bad days. Also my left hand and the base of my scalp goes all numb and tingly sometimes. There is also a terrible electric shock type feeling in my mid back area that makes me completely stop in my tracks and feel like I have been hit with a 350 lb pro football player. I have been hypokalimic after taking water pills (Ferosimide) i have taken prendisone for the Chosto and feel better immediatly, but I have mental reactions to too much Prendisone. I am very allergic to NSAID'S and pennicillian. Anyone got any ideas that the Drs have maybe not thought of... I would sure like to get better and go dance but the last time I danced I lasted 3 minutes before I had to fall into a chair.
  • How do i change the drugs listed for me?
    sleep disorders, disorientation, trouble concentrating

  • Lorazepam nearly killed me during cancer treatment
Day 31 of cold turkey and I want to die. It is a roller coaster from body tics and sweats to rage and crying in one day. I felt so good the 4h day of c/t. It was like before my cancer diagnosis. My bowels are better off Lorazepam. I threw up during bowel movements from the pain. Off Lorazepam first normal bowel movement in over 2 years. Stomach so damaged by Lorazepam that I have absolutely no appetite. I force myself to eat. Neuropathy in hands nearly gone. Feet are better but slower. Lymphedema that appeared after one year on Lorazepam is now gone. I have full range of motion.
  • Horrible hiccups may be caused by sulfamethoxazole
a few hours after taking Bactrim/sulfamethoxazole I got the worst case of Hiccups Ever. it has now been over 24 hours and I havent stopped. will be visiting my doctor in the morning.
  • Sleep apnea and vertigo
Previous to Lorazepam, I was taking Mekclezine. Both makes me feel worst longer with vertigo. Usually when I fall asleep without my mouth guard, I get a serious bout of Vertigo for several days and the medications just cause more dizziness and the problem last even longer. I also find when I am under extreme stress, I acquire a bout vertigo as well. I am getting a better mouth guard made because the sleep apnea gets worse, the guard has gotten worn and my air way is getting blocked again, causes lack of oxygen and lack of oxygen causes dizziness. Which means to me one causes the other.
  • Valtrex 3 months systemic candida
NOTE: IF YOU TAKE VALTREX FOR WHATEVER REASON, EITHER TAKE GOOD PROBIOTICS, OR GET ON A CANDIDA DIET. A MUST. You don't want to run the risk of messing up your colon with leaky gut syndrome after the yeast has done its damage. Please read the following story.

My daughter has been autism spectrum her whole life but in December she really went crazy. She had PANDAS, (Pediatric autoimmune disorder associated with strep) Actually 3 bacterias and 17 viruses now associated with this syndrome. the antibodies to infant viruses and exposure to HSV1 (fever blisters) turned autoimmune and attacked the basal galia of her brain creating severe OCD, separation anxiety and irrational thoughts. The doctor put her on Valtrex 3 X day. He said it could produce yeast overgrowth take a probiotic. we did, one a day (not near enough) She had been cured! At 19 she came alive neighbors cried, her boss followed me to the car to say how great she was doing, talking, lively, social. etc. She started Valtrex 12/24/13. Life was good. I got her a smart phone (never thought she could use one) Then April of 2014 showed signs of hypoglycemia (yeast overgrowth)unknown at the time. Then May 1 had a nasty stomach bug. Went to family practice & ER. Its a bug going around. Well finally had the immunologist check for yeast, when she lost her memory and can't function without asking anything first. It's systemic Candida. The bloodtest showed the yeast was in her blood. You can also see it on her tongue. Causing memory loss, severe stomach upset, bloating, gas, burping. She cries every time she eats. We are on day 11 of Diflucan to kill the yeast. Oh yes, then the yeast dies and the toxins released by the critters produces symptons that are just as bad. Terrible fatigue, joint pain, low grade fever, flushed face. I went to the health food store and bought some homeopathic liquid that helps the symptoms.
My daughter has been sick for ONE month.
Will we return to Valtrex? yes. with caution. My daughter 'was here' from 12/24/13 to May 1 2014. Then I lost her to yeast. We will get her back.
Just be sure and take probiotic, especially if you know you are prone to yeast infections. Once it is in your whole system, you would wish it was just an itch!
