  • Why is restoril showing poaitive in my urin when i never took this drug (2 answers)
I have been ill for 15 years, taking Methadone all the while along with Soma and Hydrocodone for break thru pain. I now include Lyrica daily.I have had 2 back surgeries, one detailing rod and cage around L4 L5 in 2007. Most recent Nov 2013 at the Laser Spine Institute for spine decompression in that same area. Diagnosed w/ Arachnoiditis 15 yrs ago when working full time and since Methadone seems to be my only safe bet to take so that I can function. 4 years on Hizentra IVG home treatment every week. Lorazapam was prescribed for panic. Tried Diazapam more than 8-9 months ago, however that drug seems to back up in my system therefore I get no immediate relief but sort of a knock out sleep 8 hours later so we went back to Lorazapam. I am now unfortunately disabled, mostly homebound and 60 yrs old. Since this past August my urin specimen has come back positive for Restoril. This past month Restoril is still positive and described as habitual use. I am staring down a discharge from my physician who I care for, respect and admire, I never ever thought this would happen. We just took another test I offered to get another different Lab test she told me to wait so I am but its killing me. I never took a sleeping other than Unisom OTC in my Entire life. Never been prescribed Restoril, no offense but would never take it on top of what I already take and Lord knows how I would react to this drug. If I am awake all night that's just the way it is and I live with it. Why is this foreign drug showing up in my system? Please help. Thank you kindly, Louise
  • Is bed wetting part of having syringomyelia
i also use panadol osteo, mintec, apo-meloxicam. i have wetting the bed is was just now and then but it has started to become more frequent now, does any one else had this happen.
  • Does lyrica cause neutropenia and if it does, how long does it take to subside after stopping the drug?
The patient is a 28 year old female who has been involved in a horrific car accident back in February 7th 2014. She had bilateral femural fracture along with fractured right tibia and fibula in addition to right humerus. However, to make it short, after treatment, the outcome was not acceptable with various complications. The patient is scheduled for another surgery, however, her CBC shows neutropenia (3.4).
  • Can i take a steroid while taking xarelto (1 answer)
I took prednisone for constant cough. had 3rd surgery on back one year ago. Had to patch spinal cord. Got blood clots. Had pulmonary embolism. Now have severe bronchitis. I know the prednisone will take care of cough, but what else?
  • How much do i decrease at a time, and how long should the decrease last. lyrica, and symbalta
After the extreme weight gain. The dizziness. The exhaustion all the time. Nausea consistently before, during and after eating. Extreme lower back pain. Leg pain, cramping, and jerking. Now her oxygen levels are from 82-95 tops with the bi-pap. She finally wants to quit taking Lyrica, cymbalta, forteo, and all the prescription stomach meds she has to take because she's on them. I am figuring lowering 25 mgs at a time and staying there for 28 days with the Lyrica. She's been on Lyrica and cymbalta for 5-1/2 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know with the severity of her problems she will not make it another three years. The confusion she's in approximately 70% of the time I'm going to lose her. She woke up and was totally confused while I was in the restroom for a couple minutes and I wound up rushing her to the hospital where she died in my arms before bringing her back three times because she took 17-15 mg oxycodone thinking they were her night pills. The reason I'm going into so much detail is to show the severity. Every doctor I've spoken with has said 25-50 mgs for two weeks is the norm. I told her doctor when he bumped her from 75 to 150 she wouldn't be able to take it. I am absolutely positive her body will go through major withdrawals and I can't have that happen. Thank you for taking the time to read everything I've written.

  • Lyrica is giving me nightmares
I have fibromyalgia and a history of being allergic to or very sensitive to medications
But Lyrica is really causing me some nightmares, sleepless nights, weight gain, headaches. I love that in the beginning I was able to get relief from fibromyalgia . It only made me really dizzy and disoriented on it. Now with theses symptoms I will definitely have to give it up. I can't seem to get any relief from this pain. I am so allergic to meds this is frustrating and miserable that meds make it worse.
  • Lyrica and doxylamine - not a good cocktail!
I've been taking Lyrica 125mg total per day in 2x doses for 6 weeks, a few manageable side effects, (gaining weight and feeling dopey) I don't like it, but I recognise its ability to reduce @ 50% of the nerve pain and ability to help me function at work while I wait to see the surgeon.

I took 50mg Doxylamine at night as a suggestion from a pharmacist to help sleep. Not a great idea! In the morning I was dulled, dopey. My speech was slurred, it made thinking very difficult and I couldn't drive safely. Felt spacey and stoned. For 48 hours!!! Even taking just 25mgs had long lasting side effects.
    I don't recommend this cocktail!
  • Alpha lipoic acid facial swelling/ especially eyelids
I took this three times (several months apart) - took one 600 capsule. The following morning I had a very swollen face, especially my eyelids and upper cheeks. I only took again because several doctors had assured me that the reaction was most likely food or other and not the Alpha Lipoid Acid. I'm 100% sure that that was what caused the reaction.
  • Blood sugar level while taking veltrex
I been taking Veltrex for a viral infection in my eye for 3 days and today my blood sugar was 448.My normal blood sugar runs around 146.
  • Leg pain especially near knees after taking lyrica
Had to stop taking Lyrica due to joint pain in both legs. Difficult to get up from sitting position to stand. Ache in knee's can't relax to sleep. Motrin and vicodin not helping with pain. Also have applied muscle cream not working for pain. Have been off the lyrica for 3 months with no let up in pain. Did not have this pain before taking lyrica.
