Comments from related studies:

  • From this study (2 years ago):

  • My morbidly obese daughter had a severe ongoing migraine for 3 years. After 1 1/2 years, a concurrent diagnosis of pseudotumor cerebri was added and an LP shunt placed. No relief with the shunt and headache was continuing to worsen. A second opinion was scheduled with a different physician but the pain was so bad that prior to the appointment date, an earlier prescribed medication of Diamox 500mg was taken to try to lessen the pain until the appointment the following week. My daughter died the day before the second appointment. Question: She did not overdose on any of her regular medications. Could the addition of the Diamox have caused cardiac arrest or a brain herniation, etc?
