Can you answer these questions (Ask a question):

  • I have been told by my gastroenterologist that i have gastroparesis, what are my treatment options, if any?
I've had a CT scan and a Gastric Emptying study completed. My stomach is only 35% emptied after 4 hours, it should be at least 90% empty at that point. I have a colonoscopy and esophagealendoscopy scheduled for the first week of the year. What are my treatment options at this point?
  • I am about to embark on starting roaccutane treatment but worried about the interaction of taking aciclovir with it. (1 answer)
I am worried about the interaction of the two drugs any advice or shares symptoms MUCH appreciated. Which were the main side effects that have been of particular concern?... There are loads, I know... But if there is a positive end result, I may be able to hand in there through the tough side effects? Any feedback or warnings would be super thank you!!!
  • Does carbamazepine cause obesity?? please reply (1 answer)
I am taking ZEN 100(Carbamazepine tablets) on advice of my doctor from JAN 2013, for my SEIZURES. Lately, my weight has increased by quite kilos, despite my diet remaining same.
I want to confirm does prolonged use of this drug cause obesity.

PLEASE REPLY IF EXPERIENCED THE SAME SIDE-EFFECTS OR KNOW ABOUT IT.

    Thanks
  • Has anything helped with muscle weakness/pain caused by carbamazepine? or any remedies?
I have partial seizures that affects my right side. It's caused by having a brain tumor on the left side when I was younger that was removed. I'm taking 600mg of Carbamazepine a day.

I have muscle weakness and pain on my right arm and leg a lot. There are times when I can't even pick up a water bottle with my right hand without feeling like I'm going to drop it. The pain almost feels like growing pains but I stopped growing 4 years ago.

Has anyone had this and figured out things that helped like pain relievers, heat, cold, anything? Right now I just rest but it'd be nice to have something to actually help with the pain.
  • I stopped suffering from psoriasis when i started with epilepsy at the age of 32. could there be a reason for this?
I would just like to hear from anyone who has both epilepsy and psoriasis to see if they have stopped with psoriasis after the epilepsy was triggered. My epilepsy was triggered at the age of 32 after taking amphetamine. I used to have outbreaks of psoriasis every 7 years but this stopped when the epilepsy was triggered. I wonder if there is a reason for this.

  • Raspberry ketones - side-effect of red face, face muscle twitching
Whenever I use Raspberry Ketones 500mg capsules (1 a day) I get reddening of the tops of my cheeks coupled with muscle tightening/twitching of the cheek muscles closest to the nose (the muscles that contract if someone blows in your eyes) and the muscles at the bridge of nose at times too. Both sets of symptoms last for a day, then to be repeated again the next day on taking the next capsule. Whenever I cease using the product the symptoms likewise end. They began occurring from the very first use of the product. They are sometimes accompanied by a very low-grade headache. I thus now no longer use the product, plus the product made no difference whatsoever to my weight gain/loss when using it daily over several weeks.
  • Tegretol and raspberry ketone reaction
Pain returned but not very severe. Stopped taking raspberry ketone and pain went away.
