  • I am just wandering if it would be safe for me to use the Habitrol with my regular medications. Specifically my Wellbutrin XL150, as I know it can also be used for smoking cessation. I have never quit smoking on Wellbutrin XL150,but I started the Wellbutrin XL150 8-23-09. I have been preparing for quitting since 9-04-09, when I had all my teeth removed and had dentures made. On average, I smoke about 4 packs in 7 days. Prior to 9-04-09, I was smoking anywhere from 1 to 2 packs a day. In 2008, I did quit smoking for 30 days on Habitrol. Family emergency (my daughter was pregnant, and my granchilds intestines were growing outside the body. Well, this created a weakness/anxiety like I had never had before. I was not on Anxiety & Depression meds at that time. So I let the situation give me the excuse to start again to deal with the stress. I am stronger now. My granddaughters problem free delivery & surgery & recovery taught me that if she was strong enough to handle her entry into this world, and is now 19 mos old & perfectly healthy-then Mamaw at 39 is definitely strong enough to do it this time with the support of my family, friends and Habitrol.
