I had never had severe ocd till I took Lariam 20 years ago. Within weeks of starting it, I had to see a psychologist because the ocd had become so bad that I was severely depressed and life seemed meaningless. This drug should definitely be banned! I stopped taking the drug and largely recovered within 6 months, although the episode was so life-changing that things have never been quite the same since.
Hi i completed an overseas mission in 07 and was taking lariam over an 8 month period. I suffered bowel problems when i returned and was diagnosed in 2011 with ulcerative colitis. Could lariam of been a factor
