  • What medicine can be used for fever of rheumotid arthiritus (1 answer)
History of skin allergy with scalp dandruff and fungus in ears since childhood. After the birth of third baby, in 1994,fever 99 degrees and morning pain and stiffness in small joints started. In 1995 RA was diagnosed with ESR raised which was treated with ANSAID (voltral SR 100 etc)frequently till 2006.Methotrexate was prescribed but it resulted in raising the body temperature to 104 and was ultimately replaced with prednisolone which restored the health to normal. The prednisolone was kept to its lowest dose combined with ANSAID NISE from 2007 to December 2013.It kept me going in normal health condition with control on pain and fever. Though I'd RA but the symptom were similar to SLE which was ruled out due to DS DNA test as negative in earlier diagnosis. In December 2013 I'd a food poisoning which after recover caused ulcer in my mouth extending up to my lips. I raised my prednisolone dose to 2+2+2 to get the recovery of the ulcer, as the same advise was given to my doctor in an earlier such condition. I was fully recovered except that my right eye ulcer could not be treated completely by my doctor. According to him this geographic ulcer cannot be treated due to the autoimmune disease and prednisolone. Subsequently in Mid February I had a high blood pressure which was ultimately controlled by the doctors on prescribe medicine and I do not have this condition any more. From 27th February my rheumatologist prescribe me leflunomide 20 mg which was stopped by the doctor after five weeks as I could not stand it anymore due to my deteriorated condition. All the symptom of itching, vomiting and breathlessness and weakness were there and I was confined to bed. This drug has a positive result that I've no more pains or inflammation and my ESR dropped from 100 to 52. After quitting the drug I'm recovering to my normal life but to control my fever which raises to 100 I've to take one tablet prednisolone and two tablets of panadol 500mg each. This is also effecting in my creatinine which prior to using leflunomoide was .9 but it is now 1.6.
I wish I've no fever so I don't have to take panadol.

After doing some research I came up with formication as a possible side effect of some medications. A couple of weeks ago I started taking phentermine. I was wondering if formication is a side effect of phentermine all my other medication I have been on for sometime with no unusual side effects and with the phentermine so far I have had heart burn and now I feel like bugs are biting me and crawling on my skin and it's going to drive me into an anxiety attack if it doesn't stop I need to know what can I do to make it stop. I need help a.s.a.p.

  • Belviq (lorcaserin) and adderall (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine)
I have been on Adderall for more than a year and I have recently started taking Belviq. For some reason a lot of doctors worry about a serious interaction between the two, in my experience the two get along just fine. Adderall helps me stay focused, while Belviq suppresses appetite.
During the second week of Belviq I did have very small stomach upsets, such as heartburn but it did go away about 2 days later. Other than that the medication works well and I think it is safe for anyone to try who is looking to lose weight. Belviq works on serotonin and while the exact mechanism is unknown it causes appetite suppression in most people. Belviq being one of the medications that are approved for long term use, it may be very helpful to individuals who require a longer period of time on the medication. Belviq reminds me of an antidepressant I was on called Effexor, the two produce the same sense of satisfaction overall, but mostly with food. However Effexor’s side effects (show up around week 7-12) and made it so that the medication is almost impossible to used. Belviq at this time is not giving me any side effects, I think it’s a wonderful drug, much better than the other options like Contrive and Qsyimia. However it’s not for everyone the drug may work perfectly on 80 % of the people who try it but on others it may not. I recommend that the alternatives be considered such as Contrive or Qsymia if Belviq is not found helpful. If Belviq causes you to feel unwell, sad, depressed, or feel like you have the flu—stop taking Belviq and call your doctor as these may be signs of a life threatening condition. Always take the medication as directed by your doctor, do not adjust your own dose without consulting with the doctor.
Belviq has been a wonderful addition to my life, it’s helped me take control of my body again I feel that the medication is very good, well tolerated, and just an amazingly well designed drug overall.
  • Lipitor weight loss/ lisinipril ed issue (1 response)
40 mg Lipitor for two months caused 8 pounds weight loss, thoughts of losing my mind ,racing heart rate, mental confusion, emergency visits twice, never in my life have gone to hospital by ambulance..5'11 178 BM 17 ,faithful gym rat ,all test ruled out physical issues, informed doctor, he didn't feel Lipitor was the cause,I stopped Lipitor 3 weeks later not losing weight ,bad dreams gone, feeling like myself again, hoping to regain the weight in time,Lisinpril 10 mg started two years ago ,has issues but did not connect until recently,3 months after taking started to have problems in the bedroom, only within the last 5 months did it occur to me was that was the cause of my sexual performance...had all test done testosterone ,blood work and all came back normal, stopped taking Lisinpril for 4 days a my manhood returned to normal!! • Taking phentermine likely caused our baby to have anencephaly.
I used Phentermine for a few months prior to my wedding in December 2013. I ceased taking the phentermine in December 2013 after my honeymoon. In January 2014 my husband and I conceived a baby boy. This was our first child together and we and our families and friends were elated with excitement. At 9 months I had my first ultrasound where you can clearly see our baby's skull was not closed. The on/gyne who took the ultrasound did not diagnose the anencephaly or alert us, instead he referred us to the maternal fetal department at our local hospital. A month later I had another ultrasound performed at the maternal fetal department and was immediately informed and shown that our baby has anencephaly and an abortion was required. The only medication I took prior to pregnancy was phentermine prescribed by my primary care provider. I believe the phentermine is chemically composed similar to Adderral and should have the same warnings. I also believe phentermine causes a mother to be anemic and unable to provide a baby en utero the necessary nutrition for healthy growth. Had I been informed of the risk, I would never have taken this medication. Our baby died at 14 weeks after we were forced through the anguish and torturous of a late term abortion which is against our beliefs. I am now pregnant again, this time with a healthy baby.
