Mother of four children I took bendectin all nine months with our son 1981, Six months with our daughter 1983.

Son has been married 6 years - they are now in the process of adopting.
Daughter has been married 4 years - She still hopes of having their own someday. Our daughter has polycystic ovary syndrome.
I just need to know if I'm the reason for their fertility problems.

I was given bendectin to take in my third month for nausea. That was back in 1973, I went 42 weeks before I had a feeling of this could be labour? My daughter was stillborn. They said she was dead inside me for about two weeks.Autopsy report said she was a perfect everything ,6 lb 15 oz baby girl.....but have no reason as to why she was stillborn.I often wondered about that drug...anybody else lost a stillborn baby while they were on bendectin?

Although, my Mother was very careful during pregnancy, she was prescribed Bendectin for prenatal morning sickness.
Recently diagnosed with heart defect, heart murmur, prolonged qt, enlarged heart, arithmia and heart weakness of 70%. The cardiologist is baffled. No underlying reason is apparent. Seeking information that would help me discover the original reason for the weakness and deformities. No blood pressure issues, nor clogged arteries or high cholesterol. If anyone has any helpful information, I would be happy to hear any new information about this medication.
The medication shows issues with heart defects in monkeys at a high dosage. Therefore, I would also assume that at a lower dosage, the results would take time to come into view.

I was given Benedectine in 1978 for thirty day one pill a day, while pregnant with my now thirty year old daughter. Shortly after my pregnancy I developed fibroid tumors and had to have them removed as well as an ovary and fallopian tube. When my daughter came of age and started her menstrual period, she had heavy bleeding and required the taking of medication to lower her blood pressure to decrease the flow. When she was in her twenties an ultrasound showed a fibroid of 5 cm she had a shot of some hormone one shot a week for three weeks than she was put on birth control to stop her menstrual period for all but seven days of the month. She just had surgery and was found with eight fibroids in her uterus. She was a virgin until married at age 25 years and has only been with her husband. I have always felt this problem was due to my taking this med in the first few months of pregnancy.

I had a simular experience. 3 months after the birth of my son in 1978 I got 3 fibroid cyst on my fallopian tubes the size of grapefruits that had to be removed. Since then I have had cyst removed 3 more times with the last one being last year at the age of 58 on one that grew 14 cm on my last remaining piece of an ovary. I was never able to get pregnant again so I only have the one child and he is Attention Deficit.

In addition I have just found out that I now have Crohns and Lupus. I don't know if they are related to the pill Bendectin that I took but no one else in my family has it.
