  • Twice I have ended up with swollen lips from gargling Listerine. Sometimes when I start to get a sore throat I will gargle with it as it will kill germs that are involved with sore throats. I will also take a cotton swab and swab the back of my throat gently with the listerine. I will usually gargle with it twice a day when my throat is a little sore. I notice this is always around the time that my lips will be swollen. Once my lips were very swollen to the point I was concerned I was having a severe reaction. I didnt realize it was the listerine the first time but after the 2nd time I have finally put it together.
