  • I too have hashimoto's and hydrocephalus
I have been HYPOTHYROID since at least 18 years old, now 43, and last 2 years found out that I did test positive for Hashimotos and was told I have no thyroid left. When I was 26, I had visual disturbance and went to the ER. Was told by the neurologist that I had mild hydroencephaly, and may require a shunt. Due to lack of insurance, went years with no treatment or follow up. Now have numerous problems with Hashimotos/Hypothyroid and investigating the correlation between the Hydroencephaly and Hashimotos. Is this the only study of the two relations?
  • I injected suboxone and now i feel weird this is not the first time i done it but the first time my arm is numb all over dizziness purple pinkish splotches all over my arm wat is wrong
I shot an eighth of suboxone today and now my arm is purplish and red blotches there was no pain during or after injection only numbness dizziness and I can't get my nail nd to go to white it stays red this has never happened before.
  • I tested positive for methadone, i have never taken this drug (1 answer)
I tested positive for methadone, I have never taken this drug. My Dr said I had to have taken it because it was there and that a false positive is out of the question. Could my meds cause methadone to show up on a urine drug test
  • Can vyvanse and dilantin be taken together safely?
has add and takes vyvanse and recently was prescribed dilantin
  • Does adderal have an effect on alzheimers? (1 answer)
Adderall has been effective in treatment of ADHD, and I like it. It is highly effective as treatment of lack of focus, and I find that tasks (such as academic research) are much enhanced by it. However I am beginning to experience what I fear is early stages of Alzheimer's.(I am 68). I have been studying the disease, and have been doing things recommended as valuable to retard Alzheimer's development as well as to counter symptoms such as forgetfulness, and loss of mental acuity with significant success. I believe, at least in the short run, Adderall has had a positive effect in my endeavors to counter the symptoms of the disease. However, since one of the principal causes of Alzheimer's is inflammation, I wonder if Adderall causes inflammation, and if it does, is there a way to counter the inflammation?

  • Sids/benedryl infant stopped breathing
We are devastated. Our grand daughter was being breastfed and mother only took 1 tablet of Benedryl 25 mg and healthy baby girl died of SIDS following morning. Any information is appreciated.
  • Diphenhydramine and mental acuity
For at least 10 years, I have taken diphenhydramine 50 mg. at bedtime for insomnia and allergies. The results have been that I sleep well with no hangover or any cognitive impairment. If I experience vertigo from allergies, I may take an additional 50 mg. but never exceeding 100 mg in a 24 hour period.

After reading the report regarding an Alzheimer's study finding that after taking as little as 4mg diphenhydramine daily for more than 3 years, dementia rates were high.

I stopped the diphenhydramine one night. I experienced symptoms of deep brain pulsating pain and severe insomnia. After 4 hours, I took 50 mg diphenhydramine and slept very well. The next night I took 37.5 mg. diphenhydramine, slept very well. However, some of my tasks require layers of mental challenges in which I became slower.

My question is how did the study recipients obtain 4 mg doses of diphenhydramine when the standard over-the-counter (OTC) availability in tablets is 25 mg? How reliable is the information submitted from the study subjects? What manufacturer's diphendramine was used, or were there several?

I felt sharper mentally when on 50 mg daily than so far on 37.5 mg.
  • Weed and focalin xr combined experience
I took a focalin xr 30mg at 8:00 in the morning during school. At break at 11:00 I smoked about 3 bowls of Girl Scout, which is a sativa. I have a huge tolerance to weed because I smoke twice a day. It was enough weed to get me kinda high, but since I was going back to school I didn't want to be trashed. When the two combined I was super hyper and couldn't really feel the weed but it generally takes about 15 minutes for me to feel the weed, and so by the time I get back to school I'm feeling it a little more. When I got back to school I was feeling a insane body high and some lightheadedness. It was a pretty awesome feeling since I could still feel the focalin in my system. This was my first time taking focalin but a week ago I took vyvanse 60 mg and have tried adderall a couple times prior, vyvanse is definitely my favorite though. The feeling peaked for about an hour and half, but once the weed high wore off I was strictly feeling the focalin only. My pupils were super tiny but a week before when I took a vyvanse my pupils were dilated the entire time. My eyes didn't change color though from the weed which might have to do with my tolerance they simply become very glassy. I felt very jittery throughout the day although and my mind was whirling after the weed which I thought would have the opposite effect, and I continued to be hyper until 10ish that night. I also felt very nauseous most the day because I didn't eat much before taking the focalin in the morning, and no urge to eat anything through the day until I smoked where I became mildly hungry. During the peak of the high Imy hands and feet also became fairly numb with a tingling sensation different than when there isn't enough blood reaching it. I wouldn't recommend this if you get bad trips . Although it's not a trippy or particularly hard drug, friends that have tried this have experienced paranoia and aggression.i If you have a little self control and are seeking a different experience than your regular weed high I would say give it a try, just maybe not at school or when you want to study. I'm not very experienced with stimulant pills and this may affect you differently, I don't know this is just my personal experience and I hope this helps
  • Respiridone causes hyper activity
My 7yr old is taking intuniv in the AM and respiridone @ pm but it makes run around crazy like a boost of energy
  • The zoloft/vyvanse concoction ruined my life.
I started taking these drugs about two months ago. I am diagnosed ADHD by a psychiatrist. I received these medications from a doctor whom I know and is married to a friend my wife. She, the doctor, gave them to me from her personal medications in a plastic baggy. I was given loose instructions for taking these on a piece of paper. I was never given the paperwork with warning signs. 10 days after starting these medications, I attacked my wife and am now separated. I am barred from seeing her and my daughter by means of a Victims Protective Order. I am a normally nonviolent person. Most who know me call me a peacemaker...a pacifist. I am still horrified by the events of that night. 15 seconds changed my life forever. I hope and pray my story helps others. Don't be naïve, as I was, when given medications. Ask questions.
