    i am a cancer patient for 15 yrs since 1999 -
renal carcinoma diagnosed dec 23 1999 fully involved right kidney - removed entirely jan 27/2000 - recovery 8 months - did a man internal check in may 2010 and discovered cancer had grown on 1/4 of left kidney - so aug 26th 2010 i lost 1/4 of that kidney - recovery 8 months - in may 2011 i had abdominal pain so we did biopsy and samples only turned up blood in the cell and same with 2nd biopsy which both were administered down thru my mouth - then they did 3rd one by cutting small hole in upper left chest and going down to stomach area to get new samples - 2 wks later met with specialist and he told me that there was nothing else could be done for me - confirmation of biopsy was 5cm tumor on my spleen - 5cm tumor on my pancreatic tail and 2 - 3cm tumors on my lymph nodes in stomach - at the moment pancreas and spleen tumors were not p/u by ct scan and they are done every 3 month intervals - but the lymph nodes tumors are down to 2 cm - so officially i am a incurable and stage 4 cancer patient at this moment - the options for me at time of last diagnosis was 3 choices - 1: do nothing and wait my fate - 2: operate and then operate again to clean up the organs as the pancreas sends out somethings that coats the organs and drs have to reoperate to clean them up but life line then is 6 months max i was told or
3: start sunitinib and see how it works and it has but i was really sick for 6 months july 2013-dec 2013 with flu and pneumonia along with almost congestive heart failure and hospitalized for 3 days with no sunitinib for that length of time and still off of it now may 2014 -but i find myself feeling weaker over the last month and dont know why - i am also t2 diabetic - and taking metformin twice a day 1000mg per day - so is it possible metformin is affecting my kidney function and i am on water pills as well 25 mg every night -

  • From this study (1 year ago):

  • Can you please advise if increasing the intake of Ramipril from 15 to 20 mg daily will have a negative interaction with 50 mg of Sutent? At the moment I am on 15 mg of Ramipril during the periods when I use Sutent and it lowers the BP somehow, but not enough to put me in the safe range. My Sutent treatment schedule is 2 weeks on 50 mg daily followed by 1 week of no Sutent, etc. during the 1 week of no Sutent my BP lowers to normal levels with less or no Ramipril. What could be the side effects? Thank you.

  • Pain comes and goes in very sharp stabs in the top right of back behind shoulder blade. Is this normal or should we worry about another cause.

  • Sutent made me feel terrible while on the 50mg. On the 25 I felt much better. I my tumors did shrink while on the drug, but came right back after I went off. Sutent is very, very hard to live with.
