I was diagnosed with PE last Dec 2015 after having surgery for a torn Achilles in Sept. Was on aspirin after surgery and had also been back to work & started rehab when I started having stabbing pain in my shoulder and burping incessantly. The pain reminded me of when I had gallstones & I should have known better than to wait. When it hurt to breath on both sides I went to the ER & was immediately seen & given a test that shows certain levels(can't recall name). It was positive which prompted my physician to give s CT scan. In hospital for few days in excruciating pain of course but they scared me into shape with breathing treatments otherwise the fluid would build up so bad my lung could collapse. Stayed on Elequis for 3 months. Fast forward currently & I caught what I thought was a summer cold only to find out I have pneumonia in my left lung. Pretty scary but looks like no news is good news as far as my blood test I had done. Resting for now and trying not to panick because the burping of course won't stop even though I am not in pain I can still feel myself wheezing. If pain even starts I will head straight to the ER.
