From this study (5 days ago):
Diagnosed with hypertension approx. 1 year ago and medication was very effective bringing my blood pressure down to a good level. Also diagnosed with high cholesterol and prescribed medication but unable to say how effective the medication was.Last week I had a yearly blood test that indicated I may be pre diabetic and that the medication already prescribed was not working as it once did.
I now check my blood glucose levels and they seem to be ok and I have none of the symptoms associated with type 2 diabetes and was wondering if I have some other condition because I am not over weight, do not smoke,do not have alcohol problems, exercise every day and eat a healthy diet.
The only other symptom I have is chronic Achilles tendonitis which I have had for about 7 months.
My father and 2 sisters have hypothyroidism and my symptoms seem to be closer to that problem than pre diabetes.
