Comments from related studies:
From this study (4 years ago):
I have a very complicated medical history. Lots of autoimmune system problems. Most recently have had surgery on my shoulder (March 29). Since then my sleep has been extremely poor (waking many times throughout the night), my pain level has been high, and I have had increased neuropathy pain in my feet. Being diabetic for almost 40 years I already had some pain from neuropathy, but it was not that bad. Since the surgery it has become much worse.
