  • Has anyone found a connection between hyperhidrosis and spondylolisthesis
Hi, I would just like to ask if anyone has found a connection between hyperhidrosis and spondylolisthesis. I have been suffering from hyperhidrosis since I was roughly fifteen (2002). I was recently diagnosed with spondylolisthesis (2012) which the doctor attributed to my rowing through school and university. He mentioned I was probably born with the condition and it was aggravated by the rocking motion of my back during the sport.

The hyperhidrosis started roughly a year after I started rowing and got progressively worse over the years affecting just my feet and hands, to affecting my body as a whole. My hands feet and armpits are still the worst, but my back and legs are not far behind. Since 2012 when my spondylolisthesis became a serious issue, I've started sweating at night quite regularly, which is now I feel a step that has made this condition unbearable.

So again, does anyone know or heard of these two conditions have some sort of connection? Your input will be most helpful.
  • Do you suffer from hyperhidrosis when you stop concerta for a while?
Taken concerta for 8 years now, with pausing during two preignancies, transpiring has become a regular problem, with ritalin it is even worse, so I do not take it

My life is too busy with work and children, I cannot stop me meds now. During preignancies I still transpired, maybe hormons have some effect as well, hard to tell

  • Hydrochlorothiazide made me pour sweat
Hydroclorothiazide made me absolutely pour sweat for two years. My doctors could not find out what was causing the problem. It took little exertion for me to start dripping sweat. My hair would be absolutely soaked...especially in the summer, but if I was cleaning house in the winter also. I finally did my own research and proposed to my doctor that HCTZ was the problem. He did not agree with me, but agreed to let me go off of it for a short time. The profuse sweating stopped almost immediately.
  • Heavy sweating during sleep
Pain killers like Tylenol 3, vicodin 20 years, Valium and Soma 12 years. Sweat heavy during sleep.
  • Heat stroke while working in yard.
I am taking Benicar 40 mg and separately, Hct. I was working in the yard in the evening, temp about 84 degrees, high humidity. Did not feel hot, but suddenly felt very dizzy and had to lay down. The condition got worse, I started vomiting, so my wife called 911 and the ambulance took me to the hospital where they performed several tests, including a brain scan. All tests negative, but 40 hours later, still very dizzy when walking or just moving my head side to side or up and down. Finally able to hold down food 40 hours later, but the dizziness persists, making for very difficult walking. I cannot say for sure that Benicar caused the heat stroke, but it is the only possible cause of all those shown.
  • Possible link between taking benicar hct and developing gynecomastia
I started taking Benicar HCT several years ago for my hypertension. Shortly after starting on the Benicar HCT, I developed gynecomastia in one breast and then the other. My doctor did not think the two events were related. So, I kept taking the Benicar HCT for several years and my Gynecomastia problem persisted the whole time. This is an embarrassing and painful condition. I recently dropped the Benicar HCT and substituted losartan HCT. Within a month the size of my breasts has decreased dramatically and the painful nodules behind my nipples have almost completely disappeared. The fact that the condition started with taking Benicar HCT and ended with the cessation of the drug makes me believe that in my case Benicar HCT was the cause.
  • Savella & synthroid hell! (3 responses)
Within 15 minutes of taking Savella, the heat starts in my face and the sweating begins unrelentlessly. And the palpitations begin right away and later will be strong enough to wake me from sleep. Its horrible! I cant go anywhere! I cant tolerate any additional heat anywhere! And if I go out, I must bring a towel with me... it overwhelms me! I hate this!!
