I had an aortic valve replacement 4 months ago and, following some AF episodes in the hospital, have been prescribed Bisoprolol 2.5mg (reduced from 5), Aspirin 2x75mg and Ramipril 1.25mg. About 4 weeks ago I began to experience what I believe to be side effects of the drugs. The two most notable are muscle stiffness, mostly in my thighs and shoulders, and cognitive problems such as memory loss and poor concentration. I also, at times, feel breathless. I'm 64, in good condition(notwithstanding the heart and drug issues) and do regular exercise. The side effects that I've described seem to be getting worse.
Currently taking 100 mg Imuran at night for auto-immune hepatitis and recently reduced predinsone down to 5mg -- also have Crohn's and sarcoidosis. Suffering from extreme fatigue since diagnosed with AIH and taking Imuran. Dr. wants to increase Imuran for Crohn's. Was on Humira for Crohn's but that only made it worse. Remicade was working but then developed high liver enzymes - thus the AIH. Blood work indicates everything is fine including my thyroid and B12. Any advice on reducing fatigue would be appreciated.
