Hello, I have had gout for about 8 years. I had controlled it with diet changes and exercise. About 4 years ago, I developed Meniere's disease which is an inner ear disorder. One of the primary treatments for Meniere's is taking diuretics. I tried HCTZ but that raised my uric acid levels. I started taking Allopurinal about 6 months ago. I read somewhere that bumetanide is thought to reduce uric acid levels so I started taking that a month ago. It has really helped with the Meniere's symptoms but about a week ago I started getting a gout attack. It isn't too severe, but it hasn't gone away. I'm wondering if I should stop taking the bumetanide or keep on ti. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks, Terry
