I have had to use a foley indwelling catheter for nearly 35 years and NEVER have I had a problem with it spontaneously leaking around it practically overnight. One day I was fine like all the days and weeks and years prior... then the next day I began to leak around the catheter and it has continued for over a week now. Yes, there can be problems with indwelling catheters but this is far from normal for me and the ONLY thing that has changed in my life is beginning to take the antibiotic Keflex for a potential UTI. It was shortly after this that my symptoms began and have continued. I can't get in to see my urologist for over a month but, on the phone, he completely dismisses the possibility of Keflex and my problem being related. I simply can't throw out the possibility because I do not believe in coincidences and it is just too bizarre (for me).

Am on Keflex, and may need to take an Adderall today. Is there any negative interaction between the two?

My review should have read have ADD/ADHD instead of had ADD. In summation mixing the two meds is not good for me.
Sandy7 on Jul, 13, 2014:
I am a young 66 years old who had ADD, however under control w/20M of Adderyl. I went to doctor for toe infection who administered Cephalexin 250mg 4 times daily. First day, felt spacy like I was out of body or something. I had a hard time concentrating or remembering as I went to store and left something cooking on my stove. Never do I do that. I had increased sleeplessness and my joints hurt. I had 5 days of diaheria, extreme thirst with legergy. I am a firm believer that antibiotics are toxic...make me sicker.

I'm having increased depression and wonder if the keflex I am taking could be causing it.
