Aged 60, Male. A history of Ulcerative Colitis which was thought to have 'burned out' 3 years ago. Prescribed 30mg Cymbalta per day by my consultant for pain control just under 1 month ago. The rectal bleeding started after approx 20 days and is so severe that I may have to stop usage.

  • 1st 3 symptoms due to a tooth extraction on 10/22/12 by an over-zealous dentist. After much effort the tooth finally came out and he exclaimed, "Most dentists would have sent a patient with a tooth like that to an oral surgeon, but I seem to have very good luck in getting them out." Little did I know that he had broken my maxillary bone and a week later I almost died from multiple bacterial infections in my sinus cavity. The bacteria damaged all 3 branches of my Trigeminal nerve and 3 surgeries later I have seen no improvement. Now have double vision in right eye and trigeminal pain 24/7. Gabapentin was a life saver, but only decreases pain and never eliminates it. Severe coughing started soon after starting gabapentin and cough is very wet, as if I have bronchitis. Chest x-Ray 4/7/14 shows normal and my doctor is perplexed. Neurologist has me taking Dextromorphan Hydrobromide, but seems to be ineffective. Help!
