Hi there all, I've just discovered this group while trying to research Trazodone/mental confusion. I am a 63 year old woman who's been on these pills for just under two years and I am terrified by bouts of increasing confusion/forgetfulness. Not small incidents but walking, absentmindedly out of supermarket with a trolley full of shopping which is unpaid for; constantly leaving my bank card everywhere (at least once a week); unable to locate things in normal place (ie the cheese I wrapped yesterday SHOULD be in the fridge but nowhere to be seen; lost two purses....and on and on it goes..... I'm terrified I may be suffering from dementia symptoms. I've tried to come off trazodone which I was prescribed for anxiety (originally 300 mg but now have it down to about 35-50 mg) but the anxiety just seems to ramp up before I get off. My GP doesn't seems to take this seriously and I'm at my wits end. Would love to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences with this drug. I just feel so stupid and so old!

Hi. I've been dealing with this for 11+ years now. Have tried many medications. Usually find a mix that will work for awhile but then I seem to relapse. I have never been in a support group, so thought this might be helpful. Thank you.
