I am 61 and have been taking Enalapril for many years. Not even sure how long, at least 10? Probably longer. I resisted BP meds for a long time. In April I suddenly got a rash on my neck along the hair line - very itchy rash. I think at the same time my skin started to feel sort of "rough" is how my husband describes it. And now I have a very itchy rash on lower back - much bigger patch. I really have to wonder if it's the Enalapril as nothing else had changed. My dermatologist gave me an antibiotic liquid to use and said if that didn't help in a month to then try the coal tar ointment. Anyone else have this experience? If yes, what did you do? The pharmacist said if it's the Enalapril I'd have to get an entirely different class of BP med. I have since learned that I'm pretty sure the BP issue is because of my MTHFR mutation ....
I have taken cellcept for about 8 years now; started out with 2000mg a day and am down to 500 mg a day because of severe back pain. I decreased the dosage because of my lower back pain, which caused me to be less active and have a slower metabolism. I am also on prednisone and cyclosporine. In June I had a MRI on my back and it showed that I had some bone death in my iliac bones. (they called it bone infarcts)
I have always had on and off acne and bowel problems, but both issues subsided until about a month ago. My last doctors visit was around march and I was advised to start taking Magnesium and Coq10 in combination with Topomax for headaches so that I didn't have to take a muscle relaxer, so I did ...
