- Psoriasis and flomax
I have been on Flomax for 4 years now and have been having a sore ulcerated mouth for about 3 years off and on. About six months ago I developed psoriasis on my scalp and have been using different medications described by my doctor.
Then three months ago I got a patch on my leg. I started looking at medicines side effect. I found out on the internet last week that Flomax might be the culpert.
It has been one week since I stopped taking it and today my leg psoriasis is starting to fade away. Has not itched all day today. TYJ!
The patch on my scalp is doing the same. The scalp thickness has improved tremendously. I just hope I don't start having trouble with my BPH again, so for so good.
- Weight loss associated with flomax within the last 10 years.

I exercise for one HR.every morning (5 days a week)walk for 2 miles every day,
ride my bike occasionlly,I am now 82 yrs.old.My problem is "weight loss".
I'm 5'9" tall,I weighed 175 lbs.when I first started to take Flomax,within 3
months,I was down to 160 lbs.(I had 0 fat on my body)I am now down to 140 lbs.
my family & friends can't believe the weight loss.I feel good, strong, but I don't look good,I'm too skinny.Flomax as been very effective for me.
Is flomax the reason for my weight loss?
- Levaquin side effects
Prescribed for COPD flare-up, along with a 10 day course of prednisone. On day 5, I experienced extreme irritability. I was imagining what it would be like to shoot my husband. He had kicked me in his sleep and I was very seriously thinking of shooting that foot. I got up and secured the gun. However, the anger stayed with me.
On day 9, my knees were so swollen that I could not bend my legs. It hurt to walk. I could not get up and down without assistance.
3 weeks after discontinuing the medication, I still have tenderness and knee pain. I had to cut my hours at work because of the pain.
- Seizure patient was on depakote for 16 years now on keppra 1500 mg.
I am 28 years old and been off depakote for 5 months. I started keppra to control my seizure disorder, which works great. But for the past year I have developed osteoarthritis in my thoracic, si joints, and lumbar. I get alot of muscle hypersensitivity and pain. Can any of this be due to long term effects of seizure meds?
- Chills associated with ibuprophen (1 response)
I generally respond well to medication. I am a senior who has chronic pain from a c1-c2 fusion. Codeine works well, and I don't use a lot. Still, I sought alternatives to opiates for nerve pain. I lice in a colder climate. It took me quite a while to associate susceptibility to becoming chilled with Ibuprophen. I thought it was age and/or the weather. Perhaps these are factors; but it happens every time I use Ibuprophen. I share this hoping it can help others.

From this study (6 days ago):
I have been on Flomax for approximately 4 months. The Urologist increased the dose from 0.4 to 0.8mg per day. After 3 weeks, I developed vision distrubance with headache and nausea. I did not correlate this to Flomax, and the primary MD ordered an MRA. This was normal. The headaches continued to increase in frequency and intensity. They became daily for approximately one week. With another 7 days to my next MD appointment, I begin looking for a correlation of headaches with Flomax. I found that others have had headaches while taking the drug. I decreased the dose back to 0.4mg 3 days ago and have been headache free so far.
From this study (1 week ago):
Have experienced tendonitus in both elbows, left knee, and lower abdominal groin area. Started about a year ago and has gradually gotten worse.
From this study (3 weeks ago):
GI symptoms began as constipation when first starting Chantix, then flatulence became progressively more prononuced and diarrhea began approximately 3 weeks after starting Chantix which progressed to totally liquid, frequent stools with abdominal cramping. Medical testing for pathogens associated with diarrhea was negative one week ago. I stopped Chantix appromixately 2 weeks ago, and symptoms are less urgent and distressing, but flatulance continues and stools remain liquid.
