I suffered from gout and psoriatic arthritis. I was put on Hydroxychlorine 400mgs daily 4 months ago which is giving me diarhoea. I reduced the drug to 200mgs and the diarhoea stopped but I was told that I should go back on 400mgs daily. I also take colcichine for gout but perusing the literature, this combination might cause myopathy and muscle weakness. I would like to know if any one of you is on the 2 drugs and whether you suffer from any of the side effects
I was diagnosed with PMR January 2016. After horrendous side effects whilst taking Methotraxate I have continued with Medrol, reducing slowly until now I am taking 3mg per day. Since tapering I have begun to notice significant hair loss each day. I will be seeing my rheumatologist next week and know he will tell me it has nothing to do with the corticosteroids!!! Finding fellow sufferers would help me and if anyone knows why this happens I would be grateful if they would share their experiences. I am taking Biotin and extra vitamins to help.
