- Lasix with low blood pressure
Hello My Medical Family,
My mom has been in ICU for over a month now. She has been on lasix for over 6 years now and for two nights the hospital has not given her lasix. I can see her legs and arms puffy filled with liquids and it makes me so sad to see moms in this pain. Dr kept telling us that her blood pressure was too low for them to give her lasix but for the past 3 hrs her readings are 114/55. Im just so torn knowing that she has her own meds of lasix at home that i can bring to her. Can someone out there please help? So thankful to have a forum like this to express our concerns knowing they would be helped.
- If i have had a heart attack in th elast five years, can i take lasix (profemin)
I take antidepressants and would like ot know if this medication would work for my Menopause symptoms. I had a heart attack 3 years ago that I think may have been linked to another antidepressant. Can I take this safely?
- Omeprazole or pantoprazole?
I take an oral contraceptive, Diane-35 ED, which is not in the list of drugs to choose from on this site.
Recently, the medication I was taking for my stomach ulcer (Omeprazole) became unavailable in my country of residence and was replaced by Patoprazole. I started taking it yesterday morning and by midday today the side effects were unbearable. I am nauseous, have diarrhea, and a very severe headache. This didn't happen with Omeprazole. Do you think this is a drug interaction or is there some difference between the two that I am perhaps sensitive to?

From this study (1 week ago):
Infant (3 months after birth) with Severe Broncho Pulmonary Dysplasia was treated with Loop diuretic Furosemide for retaining fluid (Edema). Treatment was succesfull but appears to have caused Hemangioma underneath one eye. Question is can Furosemide have caused this hemangioma? During birth and ROP screening in the NICU (Netherlands) there was never a case of possible Hemangioma underneath the eyes. One week after stopping Furosemide as a diuretic, the Eye turned blue and red and it appeared to be swollen. Now the end result is hemangioma which nees to be treated with propranolol ??
