  • Using 20g to 40mg of ritalin per day when studying/reading/on class/meetings/presentations. Ritalin works wonders, but I've never been diagnosed with ADD/hyperactivity. it helps me to focus and to produce huge amount of work in a shorter time.

I'm a heavy marijuana smoker, can smoke from 3 up to 7 regular sized joints per day. My thinking is way too fast, weed helps me to relax. Sometimes I use ritalin and a little marijuana combined (one or two tokes).

I am high of Ritalin and marijuana right now and the feeling is great. If you like to get high, this is a good combination. I am currently study and about to take a calculus final. My GPA is a 3.53 and I smoke weed everyday, roll on MDMA about once a week, and basically what ever drug I can get on a daily basis I will take it.

So true! I go though he'll to get my Ritalin and for just that very reason. When I head down to Egypt for work, the abuse (recreational) of Ritalin changed the law that it now has me driving 1.5 hours just to fill my prescription every 6 days.

    I can't get a 1 month prescription anymore.

To the fellow who uses Ritalin as a recreational drug (even though he's not ADD) together with an illegal drug (marijuana)---

You and others like you are the reason the FDA has those of us who need it jumping through hoops to fill a new prescription each month!

What difference does your opinion matter to us? It doesn't work the same way when someone "needs" the medication because of chemical imbalances in our brain.

    I think you're a jerk.

  • Noticed that when I smoke a small amount of marijuana it makes both my legs twitch severlery and it lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours and sometimes for a couple of days. Not sure on why and it scares me when this happens, because it swells my injured leg in the process.

    Phillip on Apr, 26, 2013:

    I believe this happens because smoking some marijuana strains tend to increase blood pressure in some some people. When your blood pressure increases from the marijuana, your leg starts tripping i guess el oh el 420 blaze it faggot one love represent (;

Stop smoking weed. You should notice marked improvement in twitching. Perhaps mixing marijuana with antidepressants is generally contraindicated?

No marijuana did not cause bacterial meningitis. Holy Christ this an amazing post. i am so happy to randomly come across such an amazing collection of words that so precisely convey one coherent thought which is... I am a person of words not one of which is understood. There would have to exist a bacteria that could withstand temperatures of at least 330 Fahrenheit and above...then absorb into your blood stream via your respiratory tract...manage to cross through the blood brain barrier and infect the meninges that surround your greyish matter...I think pot is the last thing you should be concerned about. maybe fix the diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and various other horrible habits(minus the marijuana use, this maybe your healthiest habit) ask your doctor! Like I said, quit smoking maryjane and most of your ills will clear up. You all who think you got it going on because of the weed, well, you're fooling yourselves. Besides, I thought this forum was for medical info sharing. Last I checked, the only thing treated by weed is cancer.

It wasnt the pot. Pot doesnt cause things like that.

Glad we cleared that up. But seriously, smoking pot is also cancerous. Not that I would rule out starting up with it if I was in pain, but I would likely try prescription pharmaceuticals first.

Buckeye woman. You are Clueless. Cannabis does NOT cause cancer.

In one post you say it treats cancer, then another you say it causes it. You seem confused. If it treats it, then how so? If it causes it, how so?

Cannabis can cure cancer, it does not cause it. And cannabis is good for far more than just cancer. I mean you have to be seriously brain damaged to think so at this point. Get a clue!

    OhioBuckeyeWoman on Mar, 2, 2013:

First off, thanks for putting words in my mouth. However, I did not say cancer is cured by smoking pot. I understand that it can ease pain. Second, I am certain that smoking of any kind can produce cancer cells... not that it always does.

If you all wanna smoke weed, fine. Just stay home and don't drive while under the influence.

    Just saying.

Im a male in my 30's. I used to smoke cigarettes n marijuana. After a few incident that landed in the ER for respiratory problems i decided to quit smoking cigarettes. I assumed marijuana was safe so i'd still continue smoking it. For some reason everytime i smoke mmj, i get very congested a day later to point calling 911. To be honest, im not sure mmj really can cure or it all up in your head. Now i can honestly say that in allergic to marijuana, it makes my lung fill with thick mucus n feels like a ton of bricks is on my chest. I dont know if the nutrients that is used for growing marijuana or what but i can only use it as edible. From my conspiracy theory, matijuana causes Cystic Fibrosis, smoking marijuanaduring pregnacy or around infants will cause respiratory problems in the near future.

Don't mention that I should see my Dr. I don't have one, and am not in the position to buy a slice of bread. That being said, I no longer smoke marijuana. The first episode lasted only for the remainder of the night. I immediately went to sleep and when I woke up the next morning I was fine. But then... the next day I decided that I was just going to smoke again. One hit, and there it was. Tried to go to sleep on it, this time it was still there. The feeling of extreme hypertension all throughout, fatigue and increased stress levels. My goal isn't to beat dead horses, so I won't; but I will say that I am looking for a way out of the endless tunnel with no intention of ever going back. I know that my condition is killing me, no one can convince me of otherwise... I just don't know how quickly it's working me. So, as of now, I have chosen to believe that I have respiratory acidosis caused by marijuana ABUSE. My treatment: I inhale the vapors from hydrogen peroxide and bicarb of soda through a humidifier I found lying around. And no I do not mix the 2 substances. I use either peroxide or bicarb of soda diluted in distilled water in a single sitting. Haven't gotten a schedule going yet; but with the fatigue and flat out hopelessness, it ain't easy. I inhale many deep breaths and hold when I can then exercise vigorously for about 30 minutes. Eat brush and floss my teeth repeat. At night I shower, the end; that's my life. I am trying to beat this crap. It is extremely debilitating.

OK, you know how to use the internet...you got here and posted. Try Googling stuff before spouting off. Dr. Donald Tashkin was an opponent of cannabis and in his research found to his surprise this it has protective qualities against cancer. Among hundreds of other benefiting uses. It's not for everyone but that doesn't mean no one should use it based on anyone else's skewered views of cannabis.

    Have a nice day!

OhioBrainwashedwoman...You are certainly the mascot of ignorance and laughable by anyone who spends 30 minutes looking into the FACT that cannabis oil cures cancer. O, the government has also known for 40 years and even holds a patient on it. They also gave GW Pharms a patient on using cannabis oil to cure any and all cancer. You see, people like you make a corrupt system succeed, because you're not smart enough to find that truth out. You're a Sheeple OBW, and the gov. loves you. Like I said, "LIVE AND LET LIVE".

    Not interested in personal insults.

Simply found it humorous that some who smoke weed were surprised by harmful side-effects.

Not debating cannabis oil. Not denying value nor promoting it. Sorry for offending anyone over the matter.

However, I am not a government sheeple. No amount of name-calling will further your cause.
