I am 62. Dr. found CLL about a year ago. White blood count had been up. I've been taking Androgel for a few years now. 4 months ago my dr. raised my androgel to 3 pumps a day because my testosterone was low. I had been taking 2 pumps a day. I would shower after several hours to let the gel set in. Dr. told me that I would have to leave it on for at least 20 hours each day before showering. Thats when he raised to 3 pumps a day. Well, 4 months later at my next visit and after lab work, my testosterone was way up and so was my white blood cell count. I read the article on the eHealthMe.com site verifying that the 3 pumps could have caused everything to elevate. Now I am waiting for my cancer Dr. to call. Its been a week now and havent heard anything. I had asked my Dr. when I was there if the Androgel would have any effect on the white blood cells. He said NO.
