Hi I have bipolar disorder and just got back on meds after 10 years of misery shame and secrecy. I finally got my self so help a short while ago. I was prescribed lamictal and am current working my way up to75 mgs. I am also taking hydroxyl for anxiety. I am still anxious, easily angered ,incredibly paranoid and have gone back to not sleeping.when Ido sleep I have horrible night sweats that wake me up twice a night. Anyone was on this combo? I also suffer from social phobia and do t see any difference. In fact I am currently isolating myself . I still have very little energy. Maybe it's too soon to see results as I've only been back on meds a very short time. Will the night sweats stop? Will I ever feel better?
I've been taking Melatonin for more than 5 years. As I was having night sweats, a pulmonary specialist had me take a sleep study- my apnea was not bad but they put me on the CPAP. After a year or so, I lost some weight and I quit the CPAP. My physician want me to go on a new CPAP again, but I'm going to stop the Melatonin to see if my night sweats stop. It is the supplement I have neglected to tell my physician about. I does insure sound sleep, but waking up in a soaked bed, and changing t-shirt and bedding has gotten old.
