I was diagnosed with RA about 2 years after having a serious car accident which left me with back injuries and PTSD. It is thought that the PTSD triggered the RA as I had never had previous symptoms. I was 60 years old at the time of the accident in 2010. Initially the RA was treated with steroids then after some weeks Methotrexate was introduced. This was in 2013. The following year my left hip had to be replaced due to avascular necrosis as a result of steroid treatment. Just one month ago my right hip was replaced (June2016). I have been doing rehabilitation excercises and have found that I have had vastly increased hip pain the last two Monday's - and these have been my methotrexate days. I am currently on 20mg every Monday. Has anyone else had similar muscular issues while on methotrexate?

It seems Orencia is holding my RA at bay but I've noticed a memory fog. My question is does it let up or will my memory get better?

This is for my father. Shortly after starting methotrexate injections and cortisone for Rheumatoid arthritis my father started having language difficulties and now has dementia. He was diagnosed with Pick's disease. Could it be caused by these drugs? He is still taking them.
