One side affect after I took mucinex 600mg was my right jaw started hurting especially when I ate anything also I broke out in a rash on my right side of my face from my noise to my chin it really didn't help with the cough to much .

Also had a very unusual reaction when in the tub. Any part of my body that was touching the very warm water, became a most vivid shade (Koolaid) red. Even after removing from the water, the color stayed for several minutes. The red was almost unhumanlike.
