I've been on Trazodone for about 13 years. As of a year ago, I've been experiencing tightness in the throat and the urge to swallow constantly. I'm also on Risperdal (.25 mgs.) and Effexor (4 beads) and tapering off those very very slowly. What could be causing this throat problem and should I have some tests done by my family doctor to rule out thyroid/esophagus problems before assuming that any one of these medications might be causing this?
