Hello, I have been in pain management for a year. Normally I take anywhere from 1 to 2 percocet at night in order to get pain relief from a spinal cord tumor. Sometimes I won't take any, other times I only take one or a half. There were days that I took 3 in a day due to severe pain. I have never gone above 1000mg in a day. I just had a blood test and my AST level was slightly raised at 54. I am freaking out now, I don't want permanent liver damage. I wish I just sucked up the pain. My doctor told me not to worry, we worry if it goes up to 1.5 times the base line value. I have stopped the medication completely, I hope my enzymes go back down. I will probably request further testing even if they do go down. We will retest mid September. Sorry that I wrote a whole book..I am very nervous and have been looking at all of my skin imperfections. I stopped taking the medication last week and rather suffer from pain than deal with this kind of worry.
