I have been on fentanyl patches 100 mcg for 7 years for a spinal cord injury. Recently l have been diagnosed with RA so l was put on hydroxycholorquine, the generic for plaquenil. At first l didn't really notice any side effects. But the longer l am on plaquenil l feel like l am partly drunk all the time. (by the way, incase you're wondering, I am a tea-totaler) It's almost like l imagine how l would feel if l increased my dosage of fentanyl suddenly. I was wondering if this is my imagination. When l came across this website l could barely believe there was any mention anywhere of these 2 drugs having an interaction. Any thoughts?
Almost every day I get a sensation in my throat that lasts forever! It feels like something is stuck in my throat even though I hadn't eaten anything. Like a feeling of mucus stuck there and I can't bring it up no matter how much I keep clearing my throat. I'm sure my esophagus and throat are ...

I am 53 years old, post menopausal, have been on Plaquenil for 2 1/2 years. Have gained about 40 lbs. I was managing my weight due to diabetes very well before the Plaquenil. So frustrated! Nothing I do seems to work! I feel like every time I turn around I have put on a few more pounds!
Have been taking Plaquenil for the past 4 years, am 59 years old, and have developed petechiae on face (including eyelids) and on arms and hands. Am just trying to figure out if the Plaquenil is the cause and what to do about it. Fairly disfiguring and very frustrating to deal with.
