I also had shortness of breath for the last 2 or 3 years when taking methimazole. It never occurred to me that it could be the result of the drug. I have spent many hours in the ER due to shortness of breath over the last 2 years. It has been diagnosed as anything from bronchiospasms, to allergies, to anxiety. Now that I am off the methimazole, I wonder if the breathing problems will continue?
