This sounds exactly like my story. I took ritalin from age 7 to 14 and also developed painful, half-dollar sized tissue behind my nipples when i was around 13 years old.I'm 31 years old and still suffer the process of hiding it. I started smoking marijuana when i was around 12 years old. It seems there's a link between smoking weed in puberty and GC. Sources i found stated weed increases estrogen levels, and can interfere with body development. I don't know if you smoked during puberty, but I am convinced that it's the cause of my problem. I've always been slim and muscular so obesity definitely isn't it. I want to have the surgery but it's too expensive for me right now. I'm curious what went wrong with your surgery as I'm going to have it eventually. Feel free to email me if you could tell me what the problem is.

I began taking Ritalin when I was about 9 years old up until I was 13-14 years old.
I actually never saw a difference in my studies but I was young so its hard to tell the difference anyways.
But what I did notice is when I was about 12 years old, seemingly overnight, I began to feel tissue growth around and behind my nipples which felt like medallions.
Eventually it grew a bit larger and I had to deal with alot of emotional issues, ridicule, teasing, and more because of it. Even my wardrobe had to be worked around it as I couldnt buy shirts where it would show.
Its important to note that I was always skinny and very slim (still am today) so it had nothing to do with weight.
I finally had surgery 3 years ago @ 29 years old and while the surgery went badly, at least I can wear clothes where it wont show.
Its interesting to know that this is likely the cause of my gynecomastia since its no one in my family has ever had this issue so its likely not genetic.
