  • My doctor tells me this is most important drug I take. Quality of life is not what I'd like & I'd like to find a substitute drug. Do not tolerate statins or lisinipril. Would the new drug LCZ696 be better?

  • Had an emergency appendectomy in February with complications.... have lived with joint, muscle pain most of my adult life. Constant stomach problems from a young wage. IBS, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite. Feel like I am basically a failure, unable to keep a permanent job. Marriage is on verge of divorce, my family thinks it's all in my head, and that I cause this or even like to be a I. That I do it for attention, or mainly bc I am not responsible. I do not like discussing with family bc I feel misunderstood & like a. Broken record. I want to participate in life , if I don't I am criticized , if I do I pay the price. With either "pain" or comments like " well you did this "
I feel scared, alone , but mostly hurt all over, including heart ache!!
It's very confusing and will definitely make you think you are crazy at times.
Was told yesterday I had fibromyalgia & vasculitis . Going to have blood test tomorrow .

I had those same symptoms and they discovered a parathyroid tumor. Check out the symptoms for that. I was told I had fibromyalgia for years and lived in pain. Now it is gone and I feel much better. A sestamibi parathyroid scan will tell you for sure even when the parathyroid blood test comes back normal. Usually with this you have a high blood calcium as well.

Have been on for 2 1/2 weeks. Female and 55 years old. Just increased dose 3 days ago. I am very tired but thought just do to all the activity in last month but now not sure. Lost 4 pounds in about 12 days and food isn't appealing, I have to force myself to eat and only certain things sound good. Hoping side effects wear off but hope my cravings stay controlled like right now. Not craving sugars or starch.

Male, 60 years old. Type 2 for 6 plus years and getting worse. On metformin. BP high but stabilized and I have not found any meds I can take that will bring BP down. Taking asprin also.
Blood sugar is now at 200.

Started taking Victoza 18 days ago. Blood Sugar is now about 110 and dropping. Weight has dropped 15 lbs. Never hungry but I do eat 2x a day but only a little.

Reaction: Almost immediately fatigue and tired. I want to sleep all the time. Muscles don't want to work. But I can handle this if I can get my weight down and hopefully get off my diabetes meds. Most foods make me want to puke.

No other symptoms so I guess I am lucky.

Female, 62. Have been on Victoza for about a month. My A1c had dropped from 9.9 to 7.9. I am sleepy and lethargic all the time. I just thought of checking to see if anyone else was feeling this way and am surprised that others have reported this. Are people reporting this to their doctors?
